This has to be one of the darkest chapters on the New Testiment, talks punishment, loss of salvation, and rejection. Talks of facing hard times with happiness and confidence, Love and good works.

I feel that this chapter is a very important Chapter for all Christians who want to continue to grow and mature in Christ.

It is indeed a great Chapter, as is all of Hebrews. FAITH!!! Yeah! :)

Habakkuk 2:4 Behold she is made presumptuous, not she is upright, soul of him in him.
And-Righteous-one in-Faith-of-him, he-shall-live. [Hebrew 10:38]

Hebrews 10:38 The yet righteous-one out of Faith shall-be-living. If-ever he should be drawing-back, not is delighting the soul of Me in him. [Habakkuk 2:4/Psalm 96:13]

I love Hebrews, it is an amazing book glorifying Christ. Chapter 10 is wonderful.

It starts out contrasting the OT sacrifices and priests with CHrist and His offering of Himself. It shows how much better Christ is then the priests and how muhc greater His offering.

Hebrews 10:14 (English Standard Version)

14For by a single offering(A) he has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified.
Cross references:

  1. Hebrews 10:14 : Hebrews 10:1
What an amazing verse. With one sacrifice, Himself, Christ did waht all the animal sacrifices could not, namely the perfection of the saints. Those being sanctified (us belivers) have been made perfect (notice the past tense) by the offering of Christ. Sweet Gospel truth.

After that we get to having confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus in verse 19. Following is a drawing near with assurance of faith, and being cleansed.

In verse 24 and 25 we have great instruction for stimulating and encouraging one another.

Verses 26-31 give a clear picture of God's wrath and judgement which should make us tremble. Very strong verses here.

Verse 32 brings us to a great example of what is important in life. In verse 34, those who showed sympathy with the prisoners not only accepted the seizure of their property as a result of their good deeds, they rejoiced in it as they knew, with absolutely amazing faith, that they had an inheritance far greater than all the riches of this world. Oh that we would take that lesson to heart and be freed from the love of things.

This is a glorious chapter showing the love and sufficiency of Christ our Lord and the terrifying and glorious power of the judgement and wrath of God. It exhorts us to get together to strengthen each other in faith and trust that our inheritance is better than all the money in the world.

In short, this chapter says to me, live by faith in Christ, for He is sufficient for all your needs.

I dont see the 'loss of salvation' for us.
Just the opposite in fact.

In short, this chapter says to me, live by faith in Christ, for He is sufficient for all your needs.
Amen !
One of my favorite passages from Chapter 10:
14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.http://christianforums.com/newreply.php?do=newreply&p=47467719#_ftn1
