Most canadians won't be terribly offended if you burn a canadian flag, especially if it's to warm yourself. But if you want to make friends, it's best to burn Quebec's flag, except of course if you're in Quebec, where the opposite is true.

Funny thing is, while most service people didn't exactly look forward to coming here in the first place, when they leave, some actually make plans to return as soon as they can. At the very least, most admit that this "hunk o' rock" in the middle of nowhere wasn't as bad as they'd anticipated--purgatory for some, pretty darned ok for most has been my observation. Of course, I have to consider that the only time Guam does make the news is when a typhoon hits or a submarine runs aground or North Korea threatens to send a nuke our way.
