Thought for the week
When Jesus walked this earth during His public ministry He said, " give to Caesar what is Caesar's and to God what is God's. This is an interesting paradox considering that God created all things and has dominion over all. What can be given to Caesar that is not already Gods? Historically, the people cried out that they wanted a worldly King to which
God gave them. A worldly king that they could look up to, they rejected God as their king.
What are the implications of this for us today? We do not have a king an absolute ruler. We have a democracy, a government elected by the people. Basically, a government that is employed by the people. How do we give to Caesar what is Caesar's when we in fact are Caesar?
Consider what Jesus said about how we should treat employees.(slaves) Employees obey your earthly masters with respect and with sincerity of heart just as you would obey Christ, and (masters)employers treat your employees the same way. Today, are our employees defiling Jesus?
Are they lying to us? Are they violating Gods principals? What is our responsibility as employers?
Some would say that God is in control and that those who are chosen to manage our country are designated to their positions by God. I would suggest that those who manage our country are a reflection of the moral and spiritual condition of our souls. A great author one said,
"The absolute truth and justice is the light itself and the shadow of the light is all mortals can hope to achieve. Nevertheless, we have taken our eyes off the light an focus on the shadow." Tomorrow we will pass on to the next generation the shadows of gray, grayer, dark,
or darker?
What do you think......
The Bible is the only true written account of Jesus's life, if you
find fault with the above find it in the bible and let me know.
If you are a seeker you need three things
(1) A yearning Spirt
(2) The Holy Bible
(3) Concordance of the Bible
