My friend, Ashley and I got to talking last night. I told her about this forum and she said she would make an account at some point. She talked to me about her doubts some more and then she sent me this book. I was very worried it was demonic but I prayed on it and I know I am protected. She told me to look at the dedication so I clicked on the "read sample" and I found a dedication to the church. I can't copy and paste from Amazon but it confused me. It very clearly called out the church but there was an undertone of hope at the end. Truthfully I don't know what to make of this and would love your thoughts.

She told me this author has written a book called "Finding my way back" and a Bible Study? She thinks it could be a prodigal daughter situation. I am so thrilled for this author! Ashley (my friend) and I are going to buy these books and maybe do a Bible Study on them. There's another Christian author called Alexis Merrick we want to check out. Would anyone want to start a book club with us? We're thinking we're going to read more of the Merrick books because she's very clearly a Christian author. We're going to start with The Rise of Erenthia. It seems to have some good reviews.

Would anyone else be up for reading it with us? It says it's Christian fiction.

How is the book?

My thought to oriignal question:
It'd be okay to read, but use discernment. What's right & what's not. If it's mostly not right, is there still some Biblical truth? Everything is trying to communicate a message or trying to get you to think different. Remember God's truths. If it truly is awful, the Holy Spirit will convict you (tho it is true you may foolishly choose not to listen to him!)

Many works are written by non Christians that still have Christian themes.
Many works are written by non Christians will have a lot of non Christian themes but also a lot of junk too
