Your very life is the best witnessing tool.

In this society where all sorts of religious activity that says so much about everything, people know that it's all talk. You may be able to bring people to Christ, but nothing speaks more loudly than people seeing how you actually live your life.

Actually I believe your life should be your testimony, If you do not say a word they will just think you are a nice person. But if they do not know that they will perish without the savior then your life is for you and glorifies only you.
Rom 10:11 For the Scripture says, "Everyone who believes in him will not be ashamed."
Rom 10:12 For there is no difference between Jew and Greek, because they all have the same Lord, who gives richly to all who call on him.
Rom 10:13 For "everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
Rom 10:14 How, then, can people call on someone they have not believed? And how can they believe in someone they have not heard about? And how can they hear without someone preaching?
Rom 10:15 And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring the good news!"

Just joined and wanted to say Hi to my family in Christ!

So...Hi.

I pray if nothing else that by joining this forum I can be an encouragement to at least one to go and share their faith. To begin planting seeds.

Let us all remember that we have a standing order from our King..."Go and make disciples..."

Don't wait for them to come to you and ask you about the hope you have in you. If they ask, be prepared and tell them the truth in love.

But until they ask, Go and make disciples.

Pray, read your Bible, study it, prepare, and pray some more.

Ask God to give you a deep burning passion for the lost because how else will they hear unless someone preaches to them.

Here's a suggestion: It helped me tremendously. The Way of the Master web site is an awesome site for teaching us as Christians how to share our faith effectively and Biblically the way Jesus did.

I can' t yet give the entire link because I'm a NEWBIE but you can see I'm leaving a "w" off of the www

ww.wayofthemaster.com

Learn how to do it the way Christ did. He is our example. Look at how He spoke to the Samaritan woman at the well and how He spoke to the rich man.

Learn and go tell the lost world.

Go and serve your King!

The best way to be a witness to Christ is to show people their need for a savior. Most people really believe that they are good people and will get into heaven, but when you use God's law to show them in their true form they see that they are sinfull and dirty and have a need for a Savior to save them from eternal Hell.

Todd600RR, YOU are exactly right man!

Just as it doesn't make sense to offer someone a cure to a disease they may have if they are not aware they have it.

When a person uses the Ten Commandments as a mirror to examine themselves in they can see their sin and when they realize that God will judge them and that He is holy and righteous and perfect....then...they begin to see their need for a savior. They must see that they are exceedingly sinful as the Bible says and that anything they do as far as "good works" are like filthy rags to God (That actually means like used menstrual cloths...uhggg). The realization of that should make them realize that they are in BIG trouble on judgement day. Because God considers every thought, word, deed that we've evr done. We should then realize that we are guilty Big Time in God's sight and we deserve to spend eternity in Hell. That is scary stuff!

But then there is good news for us. It's what the gospel is.

God demonstrated His love and kindness towards us in way that is so amazing. In order for God to keep within His character and be perfectly just (that is that sin MUST be punished), he provided a way to pay for our sins so that we could be forgiven. This is so awesome!

God became a man! That is amazing! You know it shouldn't amaze us that God can create a universe and all the stuff in it and create life and all the beauty we see. I mean it is amazing, but you would expect God to be able to do that kind of stuff. But what is truly amazing is that this perfect God who is all powerful and mighty would lower Himself to become a man and live among this sinful creation of His.

But that's just what He did! Jesus was (and is) God! He lived the perfectly sinless life here among us. Then took the punishment for your and my sin. not only did He bleed and was brutally beaten and had the flesh ripped form His body which had to be so unimaginably painful. But He took God's wrath that was stored up against sin. The Bible says it pleased God to crush Him. Whoa! I take it from that, that I don't think we can really fully understand how awfully serious God considers our sin. But I know it's bad.

Then something wonderful happened. Jesus defeated death. He overcame the penalty for our sin that was poured out on Him. Sin and Death did not win. He in whom there was no sin won. That's why we have victory in Jesus! Man I am pumped just typing this!

But God's grace is awesome. He has provided this way for us to have our sins forgiven. Through faith in His son JESUS CHRIST! In what Jesus did alone. Not of our good works but faith alone in Jesus Christ!

Jesus said unless we repent (turn away from and forsake) our sins we will perish. (Luke 13:3 & 5)

We must repent and put our trust in Jesus Christ. Trust in Him like you would a parachute or a seatbelt. I mean not just intellectually believe He exists. If I agree that the seatbelt in my truck is there, what good does it do me unless I have put it on? It's when I put it on that it keeps me from going thru the windshield. Smae way with Christ. I must more than believe He exists. I must trust that what He has done on the cross is sufficient to pay for my sins, and I do believe that! I hope anyone who reads this will understand and repent and put your trust in Jesus Christ. I pray that God will give you understanding if you have not been born again, you need to be or cannot enter Heaven and have eternal life. Please repent and put your trust in Jesus today. You may not have a tomorrow.

WHEW!....I didn't mean to go into all that because I can tell you already knew all that, but I never get tired of talking about it, and I thought someone might stumble across this thread and actually read it.

In Christ,

John

When love comes upon a person, it makes way for God. So does true friendship. Or when a deep longing is fulfilled in this way. Ive experienced this a few times, the first in which the window of my soul was opened and I was sent straight back to God.

However, as far as witnessing goes, do guard your heart. In trying to reach out to someone with God's love, your own emotions may get involved too much, making you extremely vulnerable and get carried away by them. Satan often does this to complicate things (unless where the people are matched by God) and therefore prevent or delay God's programmes. Dont be an idiot like I was.

What do you think is the most effective method of evangelising that would produce real Christians? Street evangelism, through the internet, door to door or any other?
I'm glad you added the internet. People sometimes think of that as an afterthought.

So many people open up on the internet, telling things about themselves that they would never say in public. And there aren't the same personal competitions that you might have with friends or family. Staying in contact is so simple... asking questions whenever they pop into your head... being able to refer people to sites and verses in seconds... I think the internet is amazing.

(Thanks, Erwin.)

The best witnessing tool is absolutely your life and your living testimony. People need to hear and see how God has changed your life. Not saying that other methods are wrong, but sometimes we look absolutely foolish and crazy to the world that they dismiss us. When Jesus went to the people he changed His words, parables, etc. to speak to those He was called to save and that meant everyone.

Prayer works wonders. We gotta remember that it doesn't depend on us, we're not here to make a quota of people saved, that's God's job. We can however live out our daily lives falling in love with Jesus and doing whatever He tells us to do at that moment. Sometimes that's street evangelism, sometimes door to door, sometimes volunteering in a soup kitchen, going on a mission trip, going on a sales appointment, inviting a friend/family member to church/small group/bible study. Listening to the person at work talk about all their problems and then asking to pray for them right there. You never know with God what it'll be next, but He wants people saved more than we do, and He's all-knowing, so He would know the best way for you to share your life with someone today if we ask Him.
