what do you think about contortion?

I know I like to do contortion and I know it's ok to do, but sometimes I have my doubts. I sometimes feel like God might not like it, because people these days are pretty much naked when they contort or they wear tunics. I have seen them in almost everything, but most of them are in their underwear or so it looks like. And I'm just wondering, if it is really exposing their private? Because I'm into contortion, but I also don't want to be called un godly or the fact that to God that I'm not his daughter anymore? What do you think? I'm needing some help on this. I heard from someone, that if you expose yourself, you are no longer God's child. But I could be wrong.

Not very familiar with it, take it is some kind of physical demonstration...?

As for God being judgmental, no, but if you have unbelief there that is something you need to work on...

Do you seriously see the Jesus of Scripture getting angry about such a thing?

If you're doing it by yourself just to have fun, go for it.

If you're showing off to other people, half naked, yeah there's probably not a good reason to be doing that.

thanks for the advice. I think it's a self thing really. They are doing that themselves, they don't have anyone telling them to wear certain things. So maybe I can do contortion but keep my clothes on, wear a tunic or something. Instead of being half naked.

I always liked the poses they do, and it's really cool. And really I don't have a reason. I just like it.

Many are not willing to give up things they like because it does not glorify God. I congratulate you.

What I mean is, I rather glorify God instead of contort. Because contortion is self serving. But there could be something else better out there.

I was under the impression that contortionists had to start young in order to be truly flexible. I would ask if you're serious- but it is so difficult to tell. I mean- if you enjoy it- and it is good exercise for you- then I don't see the issue. Wear modest leotards or something and I think it is a non-issue.

I think it doens't matter how others view contortion. There will always be some pervy people watching it for perverted reasons. As long as your doing it because its an art form. I am always blown away by contortionists. Like the woman he can fit herself through a tennis racket. Its amazing!

Often contortionists are seen are graceful and beautiful because how it works. The moving, the poses...etc. So you could say your showing off Gods amazing work with a human body to bend in such complex ways. Like I said it depends on why you are doing it.

My friend told me before that contortion is used in satanic rituals. There are also times I wished I was given a different talent, like singing.

Contortionists can do amazing things and are lauded performers. There's absolutely nothing wrong with being a contortionist if that's what you love to do.

If other contortionists are wearing inappropriate outfits, that's their issue. Many of them will wear skin-tight bodysuits or similar things to show off the movements that they perform, and to allow the audience to clearly see their bodies as they do each pose.

You can still do your own routines with modest attire.

That's ridiculous. We don't accuse gymnasts or acrobats of such nonsense, and what they do is not dissimilar from contortionism. Enjoy the beautiful, strong, flexible body that God gave you!
