I usually don't say a thing until I get under the shower. Then I might whistle a tune or sing.![]()
However, I mostly always think: "Already? Oh noooooo, I'm so tired. I want to sleep!"![]()

i usually say, good morning kitty, wanna eat? cus' the cat and i are the first ones up. Actually the cat wakes me up about 5am by scratching our bedrm door.Me too!
... Get up and say something that will bless the Lord and make the devil flee....
Well, my alarm clock is actually set on playing a CD from Casting Crown. So it is worshipping songs that wake me up. Later, I usually sing christian music or hymns under the shower.
Oooh girl, you've got me grinning from ear to ear!Cindy you're such a blessing wherever you go, thanks for the tip.![]()
I'm going to try this. I hadn't though about it until stumbling into this thread, but I don't really start the day by speaking, and maybe that's where the enemy has been gaining access so easily to torment me, right at the start of the day when I'm vulnerable and easy prey.
When I wake up I always take a cup of tea back to bed then write out some scriptures as I read them through - it helps me focus on and receive it - and often I speak it under my breath as I write.
I am going to plan the day before from now on - not for all my reading, but for the first phrase I look at each day - to make sure that the first thing into my spirit and out of my mouth is encouraging to me and honouring the Lord.
Seems like this might be a good way to prime the pump for a positive outlook - whop the devil on the head before he even notices I've woken up!
For tomorrow...
"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For He chose us in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blamelss in His sight."
Eph. 1:3,4
Right, that's on a sticky note on the front of my Bible so I don't forget!
I'll do another each day and let you know how I get on soon.
