If so then why you didn't ask your self why Muslims numbers are increasing everyday

The number of Muslims has overtaken that of Roman Catholics for the first time, the Vatican said yesterday.


Muslims account for 19.2% of the world's population, while Catholics make up 17.4%, according to the Vatican's new statistics yearbook, which is based on figures for 2006.

"For the first time in history we are no longer at the top: the Muslims have overtaken us," said Monsignor Vittorio Formenti, who edited the yearbook.
"While it is known that Muslim families continue to have many children, Christian families are having fewer," he said in an interview with the Vatican newspaper L'Osservatore Romano.
The article said that Muslims have many children sothat they are many. It didn't mentioned that many people have entered Islam
Muslims in Europe are about 12,5 million , in America about 8 million and so on statics are a lot you can find more by searching in google
Think for a minute why islam spreading in the world ? although it is attacked by many ways

Well Mohammad of Islam is a decendant of Abraham.. Abraham's son Ishmael who was born from Abraham's wife's handmaiden. Sarah (Abraham's wife) was lacking faith in GOD's promise to give her children because she was quite old. So Sarah had Abraham sleep with her egyptian handmaiden and they bor Ishmael.

Ishmael was a bad seed and was thrown out into the desert, but since he was Abraham's son, GOD kept His promise and made him a great nation.


Now Mohammad wanted more.. he wanted to be a profit.. so he TOOK Judiasm (the religion of David, that the Jews follow) and changed a few things around so he wouldnt be forgotten and called it ISLAM. Mohammad thought that since it was so close to Judiasm and that he was a decendant of Abraham the Jews would follow him. The Jews were devout and held true to their GOD. This angered Mohammad so he called Jews infidels and began murdering them.

Also, Mohammad is a murdered, a rapist and a pedophile that married a 9yr old child.

Being a Baha'i I think I have a special relationship with Islam.

It was the original religion of the Prophets of the Faith.. The Bab (Whose title means the Gate) and Baha'u'llah were raised as Muslims. It is somewhat I think like Jesus Christ being raised a Jew. The new religion of Christainity emerged from Judaism and in a somewhat similar way to the Baha'i Faith emerging from Islam.

So as Baha'is we accept Prophet Miuhammad and believe the Qur'an is an authentic repository of the Divine Revelation.

We also believe that there were prophecies in Islam about the Mahdi and the Return of Christ which were fulfilled in the Bab and Baha'u'llah.

But anyway Islam is a revealed religion and deserves our respect. The Muslims I know are not promoting violence and terrorism and they are living peacefully and want to make contributions to society.

I do believe though that over time the principles of Islam have been obscured and forgotten and that some have misrepresented Islam and distorted it's spiritual meaning and purpose...

1. I know a LOT about it. See, where I am, we have these things called books. You can pick one up and read and learn about any subject. Also, me neighbour is Muslim and I do business with Muslims.

2. Islam doesn't mean terrorists, violence, etc, but I'm hearing a LOT of bad things about it, especially in connection with Al-Qaeda, Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq and other stuff.

3. Islam originated in the Middle East in an Arabic culture, so I suss it to be for Arabs generally. I'm well aware anyone can be a Muslim. In fact, the largest Muslim country isn't Semitic-it's South East Asian (Indonesia). I wouldnt convert to Islam because it is foreign and not the way of my ancestors.

4. I dont ask myself the question why Islam is increasing. The reason is mostly due to sexual intercourse between fertile heterosexuals. I dont know why people think the numbers of people in an organisation proves its moral or ethical rightness. Many times it is an indication of the opposite. I wouldn't want to join something because the crowd is doing it. I said it once, I said it 3682 times:

Here's an example from the Hadith of Muhammad allowing a lie... where Muhammad allowed a man to use a falsity in order to kill someone...
Volume 5, Book 59, Number 369:
Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah:
Allah's Apostle said, "Who is willing to kill Ka'b bin Al-Ashraf who has hurt Allah and His Apostle?" Thereupon Muhammad bin Maslama got up saying, "O Allah's Apostle! Would you like that I kill him?" The Prophet said, "Yes," Muhammad bin Maslama said, "Then allow me to say a (false) thing (i.e. to deceive Kab). "The Prophet said, "You may say it." Then Muhammad bin Maslama went to Kab and said, "That man (i.e. Muhammad demands Sadaqa (i.e. Zakat) from us, and he has troubled us, and I have come to borrow something from you." On that, Kab said, "By Allah, you will get tired of him!" Muhammad bin Maslama said, "Now as we have followed him, we do not want to leave him unless and until we see how his end is going to be. Now we want you to lend us a camel load or two of food." (Some difference between narrators about a camel load or two.) Kab said, "Yes, (I will lend you), but you should mortgage something to me." Muhammad bin Mas-lama and his companion said, "What do you want?" Ka'b replied, "Mortgage your women to me." Later they would be abused by the people's saying that so-and-so has been mortgaged for a camel load of food. That would cause us great disgrace, but we will mortgage our arms to you." Muhammad bin Maslama and his companion promised Kab that Muhammad would return to him. He came to Kab at night along with Kab's foster brother, Abu Na'ila. Kab invited them to come into his fort, and then he went down to them. His wife asked him, "Where are you going at this time?" Kab replied, "None but Muhammad bin Maslama and my (foster) brother Abu Na'ila have come." His wife said, "I hear a voice as if dropping blood is from him, Ka'b said. "They are none but my brother Muhammad bin Maslama and my foster brother Abu Naila. A generous man should respond to a call at night even if invited to be killed." Muhammad bin Maslama went with two men. (Some narrators mention the men as 'Abu bin Jabr. Al Harith bin Aus and Abbad bin Bishr). So Muhammad bin Maslama went in together with two men, and sail to them, "When Ka'b comes, I will touch his hair and smell it, and when you see that I have got hold of his head, strip him. I will let you smell his head." Kab bin Al-Ashraf came down to them wrapped in his clothes, and diffusing perfume. Muhammad bin Maslama said. " have never smelt a better scent than this. Ka'b replied. "I have got the best 'Arab women who know how to use the high class of perfume." Muhammad bin Maslama requested Ka'b "Will you allow me to smell your head?" Ka'b said, "Yes." Muhammad smelt it and made his companions smell it as well. Then he requested Ka'b again, "Will you let me (smell your head)?" Ka'b said, "Yes." When Muhammad got a strong hold of him, he said (to his companions), "Get at him!" So they killed him and went to the Prophet and informed him. (Abu Rafi) was killed after Ka'b bin Al-Ashraf."

The seat of the Universal House of Justice is in Haifa, Israel on Mount Carmel. We don't call it our "HQ" however.

The reason goes back to the exile of Baha'u'llah to Akka across the bay from Haifa in 1868 by the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire.

It differs because we know that nonsense about Muhammad being a pedophile is historically untrue and is nothing more than gossip spread about da internetz. Well, that would be putting it charably. Actually I think it runs a little closer to bearing false witness, but that's me.

To get back to the OP, hm, what do I know of Islam? Well, I've read the Qu'ran in several translations, have a few collections of hadith as well, have read several scholarly histories written by Muslims and non-Muslims alike, and am always interesting in learning more as I roam about various religious forums or meet Muslims in real life.

I am unlikely to become a Muslim myself, but knowledge is always a good thing.

As long as it's real knowledge and not repackaged rumourmongering.

Well, there's the hadith that says that every drop of rain is escorted to earth by an angel.

And then there's the one that says angels will not enter a house where a dog is present.


So if anyone needs any cheap roof repairs -- buy a dog.



Even the eminent complilers of hadith Muslim and Bukhari tossed out reams of hadith as unreliable.

I realize that there are Muslims that put hadith on the same plane as the Qu'ran itself, but there are other Muslims that do not.

A lot people make this claim about Muhammad but if it is completely false, I would like to know. Also, what do Muslims here make of this claim that apostates must be killed?

A lot of non-Muslims have this conception about Islam and if it is wrong, all we want to do is know whether or not it is completely wrong.

Originally it was in the Ottoman Empire, then the British Protectorate of Palestine and now Israel.

Baha'u'llah didn't have any choice about where he got exiled and Akka was under Muslim rule at the time.

for your question , we have just one hadeeth when mohammed(pbuh) command his companions to kill who convert his relegion.
jews in madinah planned to enter in islam one after another , then apostates in mass to spread the doubts with early muslims , when God mention him about thier acts .

3-72 - A section of the people of the book say: believe in the morning what is revealed to the believers, but reject it at the end of the day; perchance they may (themselves) turn back

so that , the prophet threaten them to death if they did that again
some muslims interpreted this command as an islamic rule for any apostate in anytime

others interpret this command as politic decesion for specific reason for specific time (he didn't made this command for thier apostate , it was for thier purposes and plans)

others see that apostasy should be killed if he insult the islam or spread his thoughts in the muslims society and attaked it and it's relegion

about the quran , apostasy mentioned in more than 30 verse in quran, no one of all these verses informed any punishment against apostasy

even in the history of our prophet , there is no one killed because of just apostasy , there must be another crimes beside it
