What do you do with an Old Bible?

Over the years we can collect a lot of Bibles. When you get married you collect even more. Some are out of date translation, or have become weathered.

Question:
How do you properly dispose of an old Bible?

Hmmm....that's a good question. I really don't know. Is there any possible way they could be donated or given to someone who doesn't own a bible? Other than that, I must say I don't have a clue.

Why would you want to dispose of it? What is wrong with keeping it? In my opinion the Bible is never out of date. God Bless

There are many places that will gladly take your donation of a Bible in any condition. Many Churches, or the Salvation Army. That is wher I pick up a lot of old Bibles.

As for out of date: No, I don't think so.

Out of date, in that they have become old, and have been replaced with a newer copy or a study Bible.

Give them away, why collect them? Its an important tool that should be shared not kept.
