CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I figure I was the only person here who owned guns, much less an ar15. Happy to see I was wrong. Internet Christians tend to be quiet timid anti-gun types, or at least that has been my experience.
As for hobbies, I hunt, fish, shoot, used to spend lots of time on the lake in the summer but don't anymore. I work in the garden on occassion.

Hey Chris from Tn. I am very happy to tell people about being in competion wheather it's fencing or shooting. Firearms are just tools just like a hammer, it's how you use them that matters. Anyways I am just very up front about things I just don't like to hide stuff. My goal this year is to beat the 16 year old gal at the club. 8 weeks ago it was very close. We were shooting small bore silhuette.

Now that I know who's armed on the forums, I know who not to make mad! 
What I do on weekends-catchup on work from the week, laundry, cleaning, shopping, hanging out with friends and family, volleyball, church activities, bible study, CF, in the summer I work outside in my yard and flower beds, travel some to local festivals, just whatever I can find to get into!

Sleep in saturdays. Go to the gym, or jog if anyone else is around to run with. Afternoons on either sat or sun i usually take the bike for a good 2-3 hr spin. Always out at night on sat, to clubs or dinner or both. Movies w/friends or gf's on sun night.

Well, this weekend I:
*hung out with a friend who was in labor (and checked out the new little bundle of joy!)
*laid in bed all day Saturday--that almost never happens!
*played Xbox with a friend (I think I formed an addiction this weekend--I dreamed about shooting bad guys last night!)
*a couple of friends came over for a few minutes
*went fishing (had great luck this weekend!)
*played more Xbox--told you I'm addicted!
*went to church
*DIDN'T mow the yard--I'm really going to regret that when I actually DO mow!

I work on the weekends. It's during the week when I have a few days off I am really bored. Usually I do chores or see some friends, but since they mostly want to do things on the weekend, I have to see them before/after work.

My weekends generally revolve around me just relaxing or something flying related, I'll try and get a plane to rent and drill holes in the sky or I'll just go and hang out at some airport watching planes. Another favorite of mine is just to spend a couple hours reading (magazines or books). Fun Stuff I tell ya.

This weekend it's to help with a wedding, serve cake and attend the wedding. It's one of those mixed blessings. I love both of the people in the couple, so it is awesome to see them getting married, but at the same time it hurts a bit. Okay, a lot.
