  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Well I'm normally working weekends, with my days off in the middle of the week (normally wednesday/thursday). Those are usually my catch-up days. I'm either running errands or having lunch with friends. I have a group of friends that try to get together once a month for lunch and out for a movie. That usually keeps me pretty busy. And I'm fairly introverted, so I value my alone time. I love curling up in my study with a good book! I like being by myself and am comfortable with myself, so I don't think I've ever really experienced loneliness

I'm usually cleaning. I don't feel lonely on the weekends, I guess I'm so used to it now that I feel totally content with being alone. I have wasted a good portion this saturday by playing online games. Wow, the hours flew. I gotta watch myself.

I try to spend time with family, friends, I wander these forums a bit and get out when I can. Sometimes it's movies and crocheting, which I've not done enough of. I have a wedding gift to finish and the wedding is Saturday. Let's just say it's a gonna be late! :D

Oh dear, I usually hang out with my friends-- play sand volleyball, clean my apt., go to the mall or just hang and do nothing. Then, Sundays just vegge-out before church and church takes up all my time at night since we have a night service. I don't like the party scene--so even though there are cool clubs and all that over at 6th street here in Austin, I don't go--besides I don't like to go clubbing. I'm a sit in at a coffee place and chat with friends type of person.

I work two jobs and also volunteer weekly... then there is church and related activities (some of them are social, which is good cuz that's about the only intentionally social stuff i do!). Plus friends to hang out with and stuff around the city to do... I also go to the gym almost daily and occasionally play tennis with my brother. I'm busy enough that when I do get time alone at home, I love it! :)

I either go out Fencing or target shooting. I really like doing the Fencing thing you can have alot fun doing it. The people are really nice and believe it or not I really consider this as a mission field.

Indeed - that's a good thing! Where is the mission field? Wherever you are!

(and people may feel less threatened by the gospel when armed. :p (I take my .45 to the range occasionally myself))

I think I like you!! Yes our mission field is everywhere (even here at CF). If God puts you someplace that's where it's at. Do you every shoot small bore or high power? I am just starting to do service rifle... I figure it's a good way to talk to people.

On the weekends I will usually hangout with a friend or two, or just veg out and do nothing. Actually it's no different from any other time right now b/c I'm not doing anything this summer. Sundays are always good b/c then it's church time. Yeah I live a dull life....

(smile) I heard once of a church that had a sign inside the door going out that read "Through this door lies the mission field". I thought a bit once of what it would be like to have that sign inside my front door.

Sometimes I take my .308 M1A to the range, complete with flash supressor, though not all that often. It's a really big kick with a big bang. I have more fun with the .45, .22, and .380 pistols, particularly the .45 -> big bang, smaller kick, and big challenge to make tight groupings.

What kind of service rifle do you shoot?

AR15 Nice little rifle about as much kick as a .22. When it comes to a good time I like shooting my East German copy of Anschutz or Wincheaster 52b. Tell tell you the truth just about any .22 will do.

my high power is a modified A303. 30.06 beats me up little.
