CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I have made sweaters, pot-holders, blankets, a scarf.
My mom asked me to make her a doily coaster that goes up the side of a glass but I haven't had any luck figuring that out..
I made a baby outfit for my niece, that was cute.

Happy, I think I have a pattern somewhere for the coaster! I dig through my patterns and see if I can find one.
I'm not so good with doilies - can't get them to lay flat.
I crochet mostly afghans, working on an American flag right now. This is my fourth. I've also mad Christmas ornaments.

Oh, yes! I just remembered my Prairie Star afghan. It looks like the Prairie Star quilt. I loved making it. You don't have to sew each motif together. You crochet them together as you go.

Sorry, happy, the pattern I was thinking about was for a flower pot and it's not actually made with a bottom to sit on.

Toys-bears, puppies, kittens, balls, backpack critters, finger puppets. Many are donated to the local children's advocacy center.
Blankets-for babies and adults, all colors all styles. Most are donated to Project Linus, but some are gifts for family.
Clothing-hats, mittens, scarves, sweaters, vests, shawls, socks, legwarmers. booties, ponchos
Jewelry--earrings, chokers, necklaces, bracelets, pins
hair stuff--barrettes, scrunchies, headscarves
decorating -doilies, tablecloths, filet pictures, pillows, picture frames
Odds and ends--bookmarks, Easter eggs, Christmas decorations (angels, balls, snowflakes), doll clothes, coasters, hotpad, potholders, washclothes, back scrubbers, bath puffs
I have most likely forgotten stuff. Can you tell I like to keep busy?
