I collect a lot of things:
My biggest collection is NASCAR die casts--I have 350+ Action 1/24 scale and 1/18 scale cars. A lot of these cars I picked up at a clearance sale for $10-$15 a piece. Among my favorite pieces are: a 1994 Sports Image Dale Earnhardt Lumina (1/24 scale), 1998 GM Goodwrench Service Plus Daytona 500 cars by Action in 1/64, 1/32, 1/24, & 1/18 scale, a 1999 Tony Stewart rookie car in 1/18 scale, a 1997 Dale Earnhardt "crash" car (the car he flipped at Daytona, then went on to finish the race with) 1/24 scale, 2000 GM Goodwrench "No-Bull 5" car (Earnhardt's last win) 1/24 scale, a 1999 Adam Petty Sprint BGN car 1/24 scale, a 2001 #3 GM Goodwrench showcar, truck, & trailer set 1/24 scale, & 2001 GM Goodwrench #3 superspeedway car (with the aero package as required for the 2001 Daytona 500, the race Earnhardt lost his life in).
As you can probably tell from the above post, I also collect all things Earnhardt--I have a lot of books, magazines, pictures, and miscelaneous #3 Earnhardt stuff, by my favorite is a window hanger in the shape of a #7 that commemorated Earnhardt's final championship (which, coincidentally, is identical to the signs that the team were waving at the track).
In addition, I collect old books (I have a dozen or so, not too many), baseball hats, stuffed animals, Birthday Bear Care Bear toys (my favorite toy as a child was a Birthday bear, and I still have it--scratched out eyes, hole in its neck, fur falling out and all--and I'm trying to collect a set of original 1980s release, so far I have the 6", 13" in box, and the plastic toy), knives (I worked in a gift store so I got a lot of knives for cheap
), keychains, unusual pens, unusual pins, alarm clocks, and anything to do with old Chevys. I also have a collection of old computers (an old 8088 & an Acer 486 DX, and will likey add the P3-500 I'm using now to the collection soon).
I'm what my dad calls a packrat.
