What do you call your SO while courting?

LOL, Chris has also been known to call me 'the front running candidate for the title of Mrs D____' (his surname)

But not generally in front of anyone

i adore "my beloved" but for some odd reason i'd rather use that within marriage.... odd, right?

I say boyfriend. Where i'm from that doesn't necessarily mean it's casual. I also say "my man" sometimes.

Aww! Glad to know I'm not the only one thinking this. Some of my favs that you said were "my beloved" and "the front runner for the future Mrs." or however you put it. lol

Anyone have an unusual pet name? Steve and I both call each other Sweetie and Baby, and occasionally, (and this is the unusual one) I call him my Puppydog. (He's loyal, sweet, etc.) lol But we never use any of these in public.

That is the way that everyone refers to their 'other halves' around here.
Usually the next question is 'oh and how long have you been together?' to gage how serious it is!!!
I think people would look at me strange if is said "We are courting"!!!

Well,

We consider each other BF/GF....though we haven't really define whether we are dating or courting! lol...

Mainly because most of the time, we are not together. (LDR).

I usually around my friends/family say "My Sweetie"

But his brother Phil says I am the "Better Half" and John is "The Worst Half"
