  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

what do you all think of her?

I think that the "Teen Music Queen" market is a real vacum that needs to be filled.

I'm am so sick of turning on the radio only to find it blaring something truely original and of artistic significance, just once I ask that they play a sythetic pop/R&B hybrid tune that was written by a nameless commission taker and strategically marketed at pre-teens.

I think this "Victoria Ancosta" could star in a movie about a teen struggling to fit in that would be ready for next summer, before her fleeting fame has evaporated.

Who are you, her agent?

Seriously, though, this is just what we need-- more manufactured pabulum from the recording industry hit machine, more bland overproduced "pop anthems" that will make you feel the IQ points slipping away as you listen to it. I would hazard a guess that none of the music or lyrics were actually written by this girl, she's just another all-style-no-substance puppet. Do you know why she's "getting the attention of some of the country's most powerful radio programming executives"? (I'll give you a hint: it doesn't have anything to do with her "talent".) There's blood in the water, and the sharks are circling... :sigh:
