We have gotten into a schedule pretty much but I kinda don't know what to do on a night feeding. I feed her @ 6 p.m. & then let her sleep til whenever @ night. Of course she wakes up once so I'm wondering if I should wake her maybe around 10 or so? Wacha think?

Can you wake her at 10? or before you go to bed? If so, then she may sleep for a longer stretch while You get to sleep. What time does she typically wake up during the night? Do you take her back to bed with you when she does wake up?
Nursing at night is really good for your milk supply though... for some reason, the hormone that makes milk is the highest at night (approx. 12- 5am), so many babies will love nursing at night when the milk supply is the highest.

I bottle fed J, but I never woke him up to eat. If he was resting peacefully, I was grateful and I didn't touch him.

My son put himself on a 4 hour schedule from day one but would sleep most nights from 11:00 pm to 5:00 am. I felt so blessed and thought, this is easy.

That's what I did for ds (it worked most nights, but he never really slept all night until around 7 months anyway)
I tried this with dd but it didn't work.
I think it can't hurt to try, if it works great! If not, at least you tried.

I tried to wake my son a couple of times, and I tried a dream feed too, in hopes that he would move his long stretch of sleep from before midnight to after midnight. No such luck. For my son, after his first feed of the night long sleeps are over and he wakes frequently. The times I woke him between 10pm and midnight, he was nursing every hour on the hour between about 2am and 7am. Not cool.
I now let him sleep.
Try to wake her and see what happens. But be prepared to have it go either way.

She eats every 4 hrs during the day. And she wakes up between 12 & 2 a.m. to eat. So maybe I will just let her sleep becasue she is sleeping pretty well.

I did just that about 30 minutes ago, and he's still out We did that this evening around 6 while he was in the middle of a nap (2.5 hr nap), and he woke up to be burped and decided to play afterwards. Not a bad trade I think.

I don't dream feed, but we usually go to bed when she does between 9 and 11. Then she sleeps until 4-7. She usually eats a bunch before bed though.

I am still amazed at babies that young that can make it on a 4 hour schedule. DS would have eaten off my arm if I nursed him that infrequently, especially during growth spurts. He sometimes ate every 1.5 all day long then.
Personally, for the first few months, I would wake her or do a dreamfeed if she slept beyond 4 hours.

^^ I wonder if it's becasue of the difference in formula & breast milk?
I didn't get to wake her as I slept and so did she til around 12. Then she woke up around 4 again so I fed her then too. She really doesn't go back to sleep after that much. She's restless.

most formular fed babys sleep earlyer throuugh the night than breast milk. think its the way the milk is broken dow it just fills forumlar fed for longer.
if she doesnt normaly get a feed at 4 do you think maybe she didnt need it?
maybe her tummy was to full to settle.
i wouldnt wake her id just go with what youve got u said she only really get up once and at her age thats fine. i neve done any kind of dreamfeeds or anythin like that i used to but ds down at 10 he would need feed between 3/4 am and then hed not wake up till about 9 and then one day came where he slept all night... he just didnt wake up (mst have been about 4 months) so i never gave him another bed time feed my threory was if he could do it once he could do it all the time.

It was actually around 5 when I fed her she had been squirming since around 3:30. So she went from 12 a.m. til 5 to feed. I waited til 5 when she was squirming to see if she was hungry or what. She started to cry so I knew something was up. This was her schedule last night feed at 6 p.m. slept til 12 a.m. (didn't get to sleep til around 8) then fed @ 5a.m. Now, I'll have to feed her aorund 8 tonight if she goes on a 4 hr schedule which is what we do.

Oh, that could be. Breastmilk does digest pretty fast. I do know some breastfed babies who ate every four hours, either naturally or because their parents had them on a schedule. My SIL, in fact, had her BF son on a 4 hour schedule. He did spend the last 30 minutes or so fussing though (at least, he did when I was around.) The difference could also be that I always tried to feed DS as soon as I could tell he was hungry (by rooting or smacking his lips.) I know some people wait until the baby is really hungry and starting to cry or whatever. I have an admittedly low tolerance for crying though.
