Do a paper on how condoms fail about 20% of the time as birth control, and how they won't stop some diseases, like HPV, etc. Do a paper on how the incidence of STDs has escalated since the "safe sex" campaign began twenty years ago. Now, instead of about 18% of women 18-35 having herpes, almost 50% do! Explain how marketing may be beneficical to corportations but is sometimes counter to the best interest of the people.

That's never happened to me....although EVERY science class teaches evolution, and very few even acknowledge that there are people who beleive in something else.

If anyone starts talking about Christianity, and it's obvious that they have no clue what they're saying....I would speak up and correct the person. I haven't had that problem...luckily, but that's what I would do.

I haven't run into this yet. Errr, it's kinda obvious that some teachers kinda classify "Christian" as anyone who claims that name... they obviously can't tell a real one from an unreal one But I wouldn't expect them to.

They sure have some strange philosohpies though. Like saying that you should raise your kids to please themselves, that way they have a lot to offer the world. Yeah. Right. Because you only teach them to please others for selfish reasons.

I love debating; with a professor or not, and I don't back down from my beliefs....I think a lot of college profs throw those ideas out there just to create controversy, and I don't necessarily think it's a bad idea...too many people ALWAYS hear the secular side of sex and homosexuality; it does them good to hear the Godly side of it, too. But, I agree...I have a hard time getting wound up myself....

it was cool cos i was sick of my tutors using stupid stereotypical stuff in case studies that students were supposed to know about so i just got to share with one of them and said i dont know about this stuff. It was useful because he showed me sumwhere i could look to get other examples.

Also i got to talk to a muslim girl to because in a way she could relate and now i get to give her sum of my notes from last year to help her so it will give me an opportunity to share.

i know what you mean, i often have "chats" wiv me m8s, they ask the most difficult questions about christianity + God stuff, sometimes i get cos they say nasty stuff about my religion + that makes me angry. but i told them how offensive i found it, + they stopped! now we have proper debates about it! this was a breakthrough for me cos i found it hard to talk about god + now it's a lot easier!
