this is where...christians have the right to disagree on the nature of God and the bible. The bible did tell a story about a man named Job... but i wont accept that the God i know really does those things. I serve God, not a book that has a valid purpose but isnt perfect.

But thats just me.

Well absoultely, your entitled to your belief. I never jumped to conclusions or insulted your intelligence on the subject and dont want to.
I do not view God the way you do. no, i can't swallow that and i won't.
but thats just being honest, and thats just me.
I believe there are plenty of things God can't do... not because i like the that idea but becuase i wont believe that he intended or sits by and watches such things happen.
But like i said, thats just me and i'm not trying to spread that idea to anyone else.

THERE IS MUCH SUFFERING IN THE WORLD...AS A RESULT OF SIN. FROM THE ABUSED TO THE STARVING.
GOD NEVER CAUSES THIS TO HAPPEN FOR HE IS LOVE.
BUT MAN HAS FREE WILL, AND AS A RESULT OF BAD DECISIONS PEOPLE GET HURT AND SOMETIMES HURT BADLY.
GOD COULD HAVE NOT CREATED MAN AND HAD HIS ANGELS WORSHIP HIM JUST BECAUSE HE SAID SO. BUT HE WANTED TO BE WORSHIPPED BECAUSE WE LOVE HIM AND CHOOSE TO WORSHIP HIM. ON THE FLIP SIDE...OF FREE WILL,THERE ARE THOSE WHO REJECT HIM AND LIVE THEIR LIFE SATISFYING ONLY THEM SELVE NO MATTER WHO THEY HURT IN THE PROCESS.
THEY WILL HAVE THEIR REWARD...(VENGEANCE IS MINE SAITH THE LORD)
YET THIS IS A LOVING GOD WHO SAW YOUR TEARS, WHOSE COMPASSION SENT US HIS SON, TO DIE FOR OUR SINS
BECAUSE HE WANTS NO ONE TO PERISH.

GOD WILL WIPE EVERY TEAR FROM YOUR EYES
AND ONE DAY THEIR WILL BE NO MORE CRYING.

AS LONG AS WE HOLD WITHIN US THE BITTERNESS, WE ARE ALLOWING OURSELVES TO REMAIN VICTIMIZED AS WE ARE CONTINUOUSLY HURTING.
IT IS THE HARDEST THING TO DO, BUT TO BEGIN HEALING YOU NEED TO FIND FORGIVNESS. YES THE ACT IS HORRIBLE AND IT IS OKAY TO HATE IT, BUT THE PERSON WHO DID THOSE THINGS ARE SINNERS IN NEED OF THE SAVIOR.
CONFESSING FORGIVNESS HELPS...EVEN THOUGH YOU DON'T FEEL AS IF YOU ARE FORGIVING...SPEAK IT ALOUD, AND FEELINGS WILL EVENTUALLY FOLLOW.
GOD CAN HEAL YOU, GOD CAN USE YOU TO HELP OTHERS IN THIS SITUATION...BUT IT TAKES DYING TO THE OLD SELF AND PUTTING ON THE NEW. YOU ARE NOT THE SAME. WE MUST LEAVE BEHIND THE OLD ABUSED BODY AND MIND AND PUT ON THE MIND OF CHRIST.
CHRIST DOSEN'T STAY IN THE PLACE OF SUFFERING
HE AROSE OUT OF IT VICTORIOUSLY, SO THAT WE CAN ALSO RISE.
PICTURE YOUR SPIRIT MAN MADE NEW IN CHRIST...LEAVING YOUR MORTAL BODY...AND STEPPING BACK INTO A NEW ONE. ONE ETERNAL ONE CLEANSED AND ONE FORGIVEN.
THERE CAN BE FREEDOM, THERE CAN BE HEALING
BUT YOU MUST STEP OUT OF THE PLACE OF TURMOIL
YOU CAN'T LOOK BACK AND FORWARD AT THE SAME TIME. WE HAVE TO MOVE IN AND ON IN GOD. WHAT IS THE OTHER CHOICE?
AS FOR ME. FORGIVING IS THE ONLY CHOICE THAT WILL HELP ME. AND SO IT GOES BACK TO FREE WILL...WE HAVE THAT CHOICE.

GOD BLESS YOUR CARING HEART...AND MAY HE GIVE YOU WISDOM AND UNDERSTANDING TO MINISTER TO THIS HURTING CHILD OF GOD.

Sorry, abbasdaughter, God did not send Jesus to suffer and die so that he might better relate to human suffering. You are trivializing the work of God.

The death of Jesus restored the relationship beteween God and man broken by our sins. Salvation! Restoration!
Fellowship with God! We are now full heirs to the Kingdom of God! This is a bigger deal than working and playing well with others.

Point taken - I did not mean to trivialize the grace of God in any way - my point was that God did send His Son with the specific mission of dying for mankind which included pain, suffering, abuse, shame and agony far beyond any of us. I should not have used the term exactly - in fact I started to edit it when I said it because I was afraid I would be misunderstood - should have done so. I apologize.

Even Jesus cried out to God when he was suffering but he still underwent the pain and torment to fulfill God's plan. I think that's what abbas meant.

Mark 15:34
"And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?"
