What do I do????

Hi. My name is Acey.

I was listening to "I can only imagine" by mercyme today, and God gave me the urge to dance...so I choreographed a dance for it, and I called my pastor and asked him if I could teach it to the 8+ youth during Bible school in a couple weeks. I am not the greatest at dancing...but I feel very strongly about this dance...And I was wondering...Does God care if I cant dance to save my life and I have no rhythm?? What should I do?? Is it wrong of me to teach this dance if I am not the most wonderful dancer in the world??

Back when I worked with a choreographer years ago, I found it fascinating that she was not really all that adept at dancing herself anymore. She had made a big name for herself in her younger days, and while her skills declined with aging, she knew what she wanted, and was able to enlist others to assist with the demonstrations. Since you have a couple weeks, perhaps you can get someone to help. Very few top notch dancers are top notch choreographers, and the reverse is often true even more so as folks get older. The key is to know ones skills, and the skills of others which are complementary, and to enlist help as needed.

Hmm, true. I have choreographed these kids before, At the last Vacation Bible School, and I did quite well with them. But this is the first time I will be doing it with a dance I created on my own. And the woman I will be working with, she is elderly, and wont be able to do certain moves...
