You've definitely been a blessing during
these little chats, as far as a songwriter,
i believe anyone can write what they
feel. If you can feel it in your heart, you can put it on paper. I have written christian songs, and comparing the two is like nite and day. Chuck.

I'm not that good at it.I'd like to let you see a copy of a christian song i wrote in
1991.

I wanted to say; I wrote this song because of a friend of mine that had very bad neck problems, and they weren't doing much to find him relief. I looked at him one day and felt so bad for him that i kinda prayed a song for him.
Whatever good this song may have done, was all because of Gods' work, not mine.

Hi,
Yeah, i still do. I look at those songs and
i can remember writing them, but somehow the person that wrote 30 some
christian songs, doesn't seem to be able
to believe or feel like he's the one&God
wrote them. Seems like two different people. By the way, i would have written
sooner but, i haven't been getting notified of responses like i was before.
I've thought, maybe i should try and write another one, but I'm not sure if i could without Gods' inspiration. There were times when all of a sudden words to a complete song would come to me.
I wouldn't have any music, but God always provided it later. Anyway, hope
you're doin okay.

I think I can relate, I can read all the promises in the Bible but it never feels like any of them apply to me.
The only suggestion I can make is to just hold onto God and trust Him to see you through this. He loves you even if you might be doing some things that don't please Him.

feeling so distant right now, it seems as tho I'm holding on to a thread and expecting the thread to break. I guess i could try harder.

tape that i used when i sang in church.

Maybe its time you started listening to Christian music again. Why don't you play a CD that you used to enjoy and that has encouraging songs and see what happens? I love that song. My cellphone has a music player and so can play MP3's and I have that song on my phone so I can listen to it any time I want.
Has listening to Christian music again helped?
It didn't really work for me, I guess my sin is getting in the way.

And I hope you won't worry about having enough faith or praying enough or reading the Bible enough or about threads breaking.....you are God's beloved child & you are pleasing to Him. It helped for a while. It had me for a time wanting back the person i used to be. I think I'm going to try and write another christian song. If i can pull this off, I'll know God isn't as far away as i thought He was. C.
