Hard cheese lasts longer. You can cut the mold off. You can shred your own cheese with a Microplane or grater.

Maybe. Although I've seen people throw out things that didn't look spoiled to me. They just take a few sniffs and their brain apparently tells them it's bad.

I do remember buying some type of jerky at Walmart. Was ready to eat it when I noticed it totally covered in mold. It was so gross.. even now thinking about it.. I feel sick. If I would have ate that I would be a multi-millionaire right now, lol.

Sorry to hear about that. My father ate a hamburger that was sitting out in the sun for an afternoon. He came very close to dying.. was in the hospital and all that. Although that was way before I was born.

All he said is that when he was a teenager he was a caddie for a golf club and they had an event with hamburgers at the end of the day he decided to eat one and he became really sick. Out in the sun it was probably warm. He said when he was in the hospital the slight pull of his hair felt like someone was stabbing him with a knife. He said it was the worst pain he's ever experienced and he's almost bled to death before and was close to being struck by lightening.. lol.
