What did the Pre-Flood World look like?

Has anyone made a map of what the pre-flood world may have looked like on the basis of the hydroplate theory? The hydroplate theory according to Dr. Walt Brown supposes that the continents moved on a lubricating bed of water to their current positions. So if you extrapolate them back to the sea floor rift I was supposing you could come up with a crude map of what used to be. Anyone seen such a thing around somewhere? I just thought it would be interesting to see.

The cow-jumped-over-the-moon theory according to Dr. Goose supposes that the cow jumped over the moon. So if you extrapolate back I was supposing you could come up with a crude map of what the moon used to look like. Anyone seen such a thing around somewhere? I just thought it would be interesting to see.

No, I've never seen a pre-flood map. However, there are some theories floating around. Some suggest that most of the high mountains and the separation of land into continents that we see today were created from the great cataclysm of the springs of the deep bursting forth. So the land may well have been one single piece and much flatter. There are those who say the continents do seem to fit together like puzzle pieces and so there may well be some merit to the theory.

That would require a coherent theory instead of a grab-bag of ad-hoc "explanations" for each discrepancy.

But it is likely to be a BIG theory. So, work on its pieces first and then put them together is not a bad idea.

First, the earth was like the ancient Mars. Patches of shallow sea scattered around low lands. Functions of hydrological cycle existed, but at a much lower intensity. Most importantly, there was no plate tectonics. Therefore, no high mountains.

the sudden fracturing of the depths can be seen since 1970's 80's when technology allowed for the deepest part of the ocean to be viewed. Running from north to south pole is the world's largest mountain range in the middle of the Atlantic ocean, the Mid Atlantic Ridge.

The 'Hydroplate Theory' involves
1) the earth's crust ruptures at the Mid Atlantic Ridge sending water and steam into the atmospher
2) rising molten pours out of the fracture sending it high into the air as well
3) fine sediments block out the sun sending the earth into an ice-age
4) vapor condenses causing freezing of poles and killing animals instantly
5) molten rock condenses and cools causing new ocean bottoms sending water over earth's surface
6) over time the weight forces eath's crust down and outward as evidenced from ocean floor geography
it slides on layers of 'water below the expance' hence the name hydroplate
7) the additional weight from above and below forces ocean bottom deeper with mountains and valleys

Yes. The Catholic stand on scripture is that some of it is non-literal, and that human interpretations of scripture that contradict clear and established evidence are human errors. Thus, my pointing out that the crackpot "hydroplate" idea is just that is consistent with a Catholic view of scripture.

It's probably similar to Pangea ideas that are out there. I'd be curious too about the climate and several other things. Almost wish I could travel back in time to experience it. Bigger animals and plants. 900 year old humans. Must have been something.

The only problem is it's on the wrong side of the cross.
