  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What did I just do - could of been soo bad!

Normally I would never dream in a million years, go and ask a non christian or one I didnt know was a christian out - I certenly believe we should never be bound down with unbelievers.

Anyway at Uni I met what I would say was the most beautiful girl Ive ever seen and I asked her out on a date - doing so I also missed the christian union meating at Uni - I just fould myself asking here out - felt the right thing to do at the time????? - infact shes the first girl Ive ever asked out!

Anyway - afterwards I felt bad - I thought Id gone against everything I stand for (an I missed CU meating too). I prayed to God for forgiveness and for protection. I keeped my word and went to the date.

It turned out that she was a commited bible believing Christian!!!!  Im starting to wonder if it was Gods plan all along? At the mo Im amaized!

That's so coool!! See, God knows the hearts of everyone, and some people who may not even look like a Christian could be one!! When I first met my fiance, he like totally did not "look" like a Christian (he didn't act like I was used to Christians acting) but he turned out to be just as born again as I am, maybe even more so!!

PLEASE do NOT take this as a personal attack on you. This is something I have had hurled in my teeth and I keep getting this kind of non sense over and over and over, until I just get sick of it.

I think it is HIGH time Christians learned a little about the God they serve and the adversary who is a piece of garbage so weak he can do NOTHING with out God's permission.

Now get a pen and paper and write this down. satan does not put two Christians together. satan does not give them love for one another. WHY WOULD HE? SATAN TRIES TO DESTROY RELATIONSHIPS-NOT BUILD THEM.

IF IF IF you and the girl or BOTH born again "comitted Christians" and there is a mutual attraction it did NOT come from satan.

satan does have a counterfiet love he does use in an attempt to unequally yoke a Christian with a NON Christian, and to cause various other problems. But you may be sure he has no desire to yoke two born again comitted Christians together.

You got that right brother. Satan does all he can to cause division between true Bible believing Christians. The Bible says one can send a thousand to flight, but two can send ten thousand to flee. Also a three cord rope is difficult to break. The last thing satan wants is for two or more christians be joined together in the Lord.

Matthew 18:20  For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them."

Eccles. 4:9-12  Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. [10] For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up. [11] Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone? [12] And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

How can it come to nothing? People put to much importance in romantic relationships. If your both christians then you can be friends, and your also a brother and sister in the Lord.

My wife is my friend, my sister and also my wife. Sometimes as my wife I would like to boot her out of here. You know how it can be with the flesh. But as my friend and my sister we get along wonderful.

Don't take me wrong, at times we have a wonderful romanic relationship. But when it comes to real life and dealing with what we have to deal with day in and day out, a romantic relationship is just not enough. The way it is in American today a hand shake has more meaning than a marriage contract.

Romantic love does not hold people together. God's love is the only lasting and eternal love. The river of life is flowing and all we need do is get the biggest cup we can find and scoop us up some of God's love and drink tell we are full. Daily He refreshes us.

If she is a true Christian it can never come to nothing, because you will always be brother and sister in the Lord. The evidence of our love for God, is the love we have for one another. We can pretty much determine how much someone loves God, by how much love they show for us. If they do not seem to care about us, to have any love for us, then I would really question if they love God.
