No, but given enough money, I might head off and start one myself. :preach:
That must be what I'm doing wrong. I did not rent a store front, and I have never pushed a collection plate around.

I'm going to install personal credit card swipers in my church. Then they can all tithe with one great unified swipe.

I don't want to sound obtuse, but a couple of mormons once told me exactly that.

You know.... Mormons aren't always wrong. Sounds like they gave you good life advice, although they obviously were expecting you, with your mind primed by their schema, to come running to them as a result. :p

I would think the RCC would have something like that in their churches. For debit cards especially... :)

I am completely opposed to debt. I do not use credit cards and encourage the people in my flock to not use them. If they can't afford to eat with using credit cards they have no business giving to the church. That does not honor God in any way.

I took a food box to a woman who tithes 10% to her church, as per their request.

Pretty cool trick, huh?

The Charismatic Episcopal Church

(Not to be confused with the Episcopal Church, although there are indeed members of the Episcopal Church that engage in Charismatic practices.)

Hmmm, but I don't like the whole charismatic atmosphere, it would be great if the church simply accepted and promoted the charismatic gifts, not centered their worship around them.

yeah, would she have needed the box if she would have saw that God had already provided for her needs? Would she have gotten the box if she had the need and not given a legalistic tithe?

I would say since I don't think one exists that will meet all your criteria, but I would say Lutheran may comes the closest.

I have been leaning towards the Lutheran, I think next Sunday, I will visit one of their churches and talk to the priest.

I think it's a pretty neat idea to take 10% of someone's disability check and then send them to the Catholics to get fed!

I'm going to try that one out.

Naw, just pointing out a little inequity coming out of the denominations of my seperated brethren.

Of course, when ever I have the audacity to say something about it, it always ends up being about me. ;)
