I'm going to install personal credit card swipers in my church. Then they can all tithe with one great unified swipe.

I don't want to sound obtuse, but a couple of mormons once told me exactly that.

You know.... Mormons aren't always wrong. Sounds like they gave you good life advice, although they obviously were expecting you, with your mind primed by their schema, to come running to them as a result.

I am completely opposed to debt. I do not use credit cards and encourage the people in my flock to not use them. If they can't afford to eat with using credit cards they have no business giving to the church. That does not honor God in any way.

Hmmm, but I don't like the whole charismatic atmosphere, it would be great if the church simply accepted and promoted the charismatic gifts, not centered their worship around them.

I would say since I don't think one exists that will meet all your criteria, but I would say Lutheran may comes the closest.

I have been leaning towards the Lutheran, I think next Sunday, I will visit one of their churches and talk to the priest.

I think it's a pretty neat idea to take 10% of someone's disability check and then send them to the Catholics to get fed!

Naw, just pointing out a little inequity coming out of the denominations of my seperated brethren.

Of course, when ever I have the audacity to say something about it, it always ends up being about me.
