Did god create him or herself? For a cause there must be an effect. Something can't come from nothing, right? I read somewhere that causality doesn't exist beyond the space, time and matter..but why not? What do you think?

you're saying an action requires time; and god "creating time" would be the ACTION-which-requires-time. however, not all actions require time. and especially when you're talking about God, he doesn't need "time" to create time. How can he create Time when he needs TIME TO CREATE TIME... it's stupid... he doesn't need time to create time.OK, I think I figured it out. If God created time, then he couldn't of been created because that would've meant that somebody before him created him/her. And before would be time. That makes sense right?
What I'm trying to get at is time didn't excist before he made it in the physical world, because there was only NOW. God made the physical being which went forward in time, and created heaven for the end in time. I think god created time as a necessity for living things.you're saying an action requires time; and god "creating time" would be the ACTION-which-requires-time. however, not all actions require time. and especially when you're talking about God, he doesn't need "time" to create time. the universe is material being. gas, planets stars this and that ****, God however, obviously, is not material... he is a consciousness that has always existed, what the hell is so hard to imagine? close your eyes, and imagine gravity doesn't exist. close your ears, don't breathe and don't touch anything for 5 seconds... not very hard to imagine that God has always existed...
Nobody created God.. But rather he has always been, and always will be...Curious101 said:Did god create him or herself?
No it can't.. Whihc is why God didn't come from nothing...Curious101 said:For a cause there must be an effect. Something can't come from nothing, right?
This is both true and false. I'll anwser only on regards to god.. God is outside of time, so therefore to say that God is eternal is to say that he has always been.. before He created time there would be no such concept by which one would govern the passing of units of measurement.. Does that make more sense?Curious101 said:I read somewhere that causality doesn't exist beyond the space, time and matter..but why not?
So if I held you to that you could give me the evidence to support your claim? or what if I ask you to prove that the concept of morality could evole.. Could you do that?Western Deity said:There is no evidence to say the consciousness is anything more than the product of the highly complex mush called a brain, which is "material".
God is the first to come up with "thinking outside the box." He is outside of time, space, etc. We only speak in terms of dimensions we understand. God is restricted by no such boundaries. MQTA said:So God was there before Time... how much before Time? A second or an eternity?
So before the universe, space and time, there was just God, nothing else. I guess He got bored and didn't even know how long He was bored for so he had to create time and a universe, so He'd have something to do?
Boy this is one confusing subject.
