Yeh when i first started listening to christian music i wouldnt have it on in the background either i can understand that.Marissa said:I feel the same way about most christian music. The only Christian music I listen to is praise and worship and I won't listen to that in the background. I feel disrespectful when I do that. It only goes on when I am doing something that leaves some of my mind to sing along. Yet, I need my background music which means I have to keep my brilliant secular stuff.
Each to their own.
The only way i would listen to secular stuff now is in the background. But i tend not to have worship in the background now but more stuff like rebecca st.james. I dont know what its like in aus but the secular industry is not very good in the UK. Most of it tends to be about sex, depression, anger or just tacky.
I like evanescense but dunno whether they christian or not. but its not blatantly christian.
at least with christian stuff i know that it will be something that will focus me on God. And praise and worship cd's are helpful for worship time alone with God. Its just cool i have time alone with God on the bus, just put a worship cd in my personal cd player and get lost in worship. I think because my time is so chaotic i dont have time for secular music or tv.
