Eve since truly taking on Christianity, i have been feeling that i need to do MORE. I feel like i have been wasting so much time here without giving all that i can to the lord. I want to go past thoughts and i want my body soul and spirit to be in the same place. It seems that my soul and spirit long for greater things that where i am today. I pray everyday and i love reading my bible. But i want this to go past thoughts and prayers, I was wondering what ideas you all have that a Christian could do to grow in faith and help this world.

If you are really wanting to do something great for God, like I do, then you have to pray to Him to show you the thing that you'd be best at and excel at most. Then you willbe able to do wonders if you are in the wrong place because you thought it would be good to do that then things might not turn out right. Pray to God and ask Him for the Way to be shown.

If you feel you need to do more to help people and God see what you can do to help out at your church....and just pray to God about what he wants you to do. You would already know that he has a plan for you and he will reveal to you what you can do to help out. God bless and I pray that you continue to have this attitude and go on to help many people.

Learn to sit in His feet, learn to hear His voice, learn to wait patiently and follow His ways. His ways are not always according to our ways. We may have wonderful ideas, but it is not Him who follow us, it is we who should follow Him.

You want to serve Him, you want to do things for Him. Praise the Lord. But one thing is for sure, He will never entrust His work to your hands before he breaks you. He fully entrusts His work only to broken people.

Let me give an example. My son is 8 years old and he loves me very much. So he always wants to imitate me and things that I do as a grown up. He wants to shave himself, to drive my car etc. Would I allow him to do such things? Nope. If I am a good father, I would explain him that those are dangerous things for him and I would never entrust such things to my son. The same is with our Heavenly Father. Because of His love for us, He would never entrust His work to our hands if we are not yet ready to accomplish His work as He wants.

So be careful, you may have the enthusiasm of my son whenever he watches me driving, but if he steals my keys one day, that would be desastrous for him. I don't want to discourage you, but wouldn't be better to hear directly from Him what He wants from you? I am sure that if you already had heard His voice, you wouldn't have asked us this question.

I'd like to add something that I missed in the previous post. As a father, I am much more pleased when my son obey to me in small daily things, than when he tries to do harder things that are not for his age. So is with our Father. He is much more pleased with us when we are obidient to Him in small, "unimportant" daily things than when we try to do more important things that He doesn't want us to do at that time.

But how can we be obedient to Him if we don't spend time with Him? How can we know what He wants from us when we don't learn to be constantly with Him? I think that the most important thing is to learn to be in His constant presence. Let us all think about this!

I would suggest that you dillegently learn to love those around you. Become a servant of others. Learn to use the gifts the Spirit has given you to build up those around you. As the previous post said, learn to be faithful in the small things first. Be in the word, be in prayer, and have a heart of praise and thankfulness toward God. He will bless these things and if you do them faithfully, He will lead you on to bigger tasks. But, these will always be a part of our lives.
