  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What can stop us from obeying God? Is not obedience simply a choice? Can anything stop us from making a choice? When tempted to sin or disobey God, do we not have to simply make the choice to do God's will?

If we know and understand God's will what can stop us from doing it?

How can God's word & Spirit change our lives if we do not make the choice to obey and be doers of His word & will?

There are alot of our fellow brothers & sisters who are struggling to overcome sin or hesitating in doing God's will because they are "waiting on the power of the Holy Spirit".

The power of the Holy Spirit is to give us the understanding and knowledge of His will, not to make us obey.

It does not have to be a process and should not be a process. It is the work of the Holy Spirit to reveal to us God's will. It is our responsibility to do God's will.

If God ask us to do or not do something, the only thing that keeps us from obeying is our choice not to. For there is nothing that can stop us from making a choice.

What we struggle with at times is not wanting to do God's will because we don't feel like doing it. We must learn to love and obey God when we have no desire to. We walk by faith, not by emotion or feeling.
