What can one "do" with design?

So now your predicting what an unseen list would look like, and denying it's validity.
Your conclusions are no better than the "godless cult" complaints you have against public school teachers.
LOL! So present one and we'll see. It would have to be a pretty short list. ;)

Do your own homework. It's much more effective.
I don't have time for scoffers.

You have made a claim, one that seems to many of us somewhere on the spectrum between outrageous and ridiculous: support, retract it, or expect it to be derided and ignored. Your choice - your homework.

OP asked what he can do with a belief in intelligent design and I gave him an answer.
I would see it as unnecessary to your suggested purpose, but in any case the OP asked how ID would be useful to the biological sciences.

I didn't see anything about biological science in the OP. maybe that's the direction the thread took as more people participated.

nothing on biological science here...
Yes, the OP was somewhat ambiguous, which is why the poster started a new thread with a more specific title, "How does accepting design improve our understanding of biology?"

yes, the OP admits that he needed to be more specific in what he wanted to accomplish with the thread.

Indeed. Or entering a room and asking yourself what the heck you came in there for.
Or leaving your house, locking the door, taking 4 steps and then returning to the door to see if you locked it. :)

I actually do this all the time. :(

Let's say I decide to accept that all living things are the result of deliberate design.

Now what? What can I do with that?

Become a surgeon. They need to know the design of the human anatomy.

I looked up the list for my own interest.
I don't have time for scoffers who challenge
unseen evidence.

And a very valid one, at that.

It's a list of past scientists who founded modern science.
You can't be critical that they are dead.
There are other lists of living creationist scientists.
Then you can complain if some are dead.
You critics are goofy in the head.

The part that is initially frightening (but can ultimately be freeing) is that it can cause you to consider that you have a Creator to Whom you are beholden to.

The mere 'realization' that Design is a thing does not necessarily do that - which creator is the one? is a question not addressed by such a realization, as there are so many to choose from.
