Well, this spring break I'm going to London and Paris and for Christmas my parents want to get me a really nice camera to take pictures while I'm there.

But thing is..I know nothing at all about cameras, but I really want a nice one that will take amazing pictures.

Which ones are the best?

Hey, I'll be the first to respond here:
While I can't recommend one camera specifically, since what you need is highly dependant on a number of things, including just how comlpex of features you want, how much you want to spend, etc., I can recommend a website that has an amazing and very detailed collection of digital camera reviews. While I haven't posted enough to include links to outside sites, just go to Google and type in Steve's Digicams. It will be the first site listed.

I hope this helps. If you have any other questions feel free to private message me.

!. Price range ?
2. Digital or film??? (think digital)
3. If digital, will you have access to computer, preferably with cd burner?
4. How much do you know about photography? Cameras don't 'take' great pictures, people that know how to use them do, (and still sometimes don't)

love to help you, been 'taking' photos , good and horrible, for 45 years
