The Guardian - Dee Henderson (novel, but there is a message - some of the characters believe). Just started so don't know for sure, but in previous books one of the characters has become a believer, there is witnessing. I enjoy books like this because it is lighter reading, but still has a message.

An echo in the darkness - francine rivers. Reading it for the second time. Really good, read it about 10 years ago last time.
