I'm in the middle of several books, both fiction and non-fiction.

One non-fiction I started recently is Loving Life: The Morality of Self-Interest and the Facts that Support It, by Craig Biddle. He argues that morality is not a matter of divine revelation or social convention or personal opinion, but rather of the factual requirements of human life and happiness.

I'm only part way through, but it has been worth reading so far.

Has anyone been reading any good books lately that they would like to share with us?

I'm going to start reading about the Apostle Paul (if I get some time).

Thanks:wave:

I am reading the Tao Te Chung and the Blue Cliff Notes regarding Zen Buddhism. Tao Te Chung is a great book, but the Blue Cliff Notes is very complicating, for one has to exercise an utter deep mind to understand this book. Peace.

What do you consider the feet of clay and iron to represent?

Could it be parallel laws in Western society? That is Sharia law for Muslims in Western Society, and Judeo-Christian laws for seculars, Christians and everyone else?

It mentions how the feet of clay and iron do not mix, the feet crumble apart, or symbolically a rock falls on the feet and shatters them.

The clay could symbolize "flesh" and the "iron" spirit.
Jesus came to the Lost Sheep of Israel but not to bring a "physical" priesthood kingdome but a spiritual one.
I am just now working on the "70 weeks" of Daniel. Curiosly, the "week" in Daniel 9:27 is "SINGULAR", not plural as the other "weeks". But that would be for another topic. Peace.

Mitch Rapp is quickly becoming one of my all-time favorite fictional heroes.

I'm also currently taking summer courses to become an insurance coder, so I'm reading textbooks too.

Big Bush Lies ~ Jerry Barrett

Understanding mohammad
a psychobiography of "allahs" prophet
it's a new book that just came out a few weeks ago.. it discusses the psychological problems of mohammad strictly using the hadiths. it's surprising how similar mohammad fits the characteristics of adenoma. white, big feet, night sweats, die at the age of 60, etc. truly amazing.
