my two all time favorites are:

Great Is Thy Faithfulness and
Have Thine Own Way Lord

but there are many others that fill me with joy any time I hear them

"For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all" 2 Corinthians 4:17

We sang "Great Is Thy Faithfulness" this past Sunday morning.

Here is a site that features this lovely old hymn:

Hello all fellow christians, anti-christians and goats, i was just thinking, and then it hit me: "WOW!! i love gospel/bible hymns, they are just fabulous", so i thought i would share my favourite hymns with you, if you like the sound of them, dont hestitate to check them out, it will be worth loosing your ears.

My all time favourite "hymn" would have to be 1. Go now your Lord is Dead by a good friend of mine, his name is  GLEN  and he loves christians, and writing hymns about how he likes them so. An excerpt from this classic bible hymn is

"Holy bible, instrument of death, book of fools and ignorance

Without a trace, to the other side, faith in god atlas has died.
Aged and faded, Christianity, dying down in it's disease,
Heaven hated, never know his love, leave you where you have begun"

Im sure you now understand why it is such a good hymn, the lyrics are deep, meaningful and have a hidden message, can you find it?

My second favourite, but equally as good, hymn is 2. New Faith by two old chaps i met in the church one day whilst i was praying. They are Tom and Kerry, and they also love christians, but not as much as  glen:bow: . This completely chrisitian and loving hymn sooth you, and clean you. It contains pro-christian comments throughout, because it was written in the Tibetan Mountains by christain Monks who meditate to waterfalls and Lilypads. Here is a bit of it :
"Holy man open up your eyes

To the ways of the world you've been so blind
As the walls of religion come crashing down
How's the ignorance taste the second time around ....I keep the bible in a pool of blood
So that none of its lies can affect me"

There are many more tracks, i mean, hymns, that will sooth you, by promoting christianity,to get a short list, and their lyrics go here:
darklyrics.com/d/deicide.html

Well, i leave you now, enjoy these entirely christian hymns, perhaps you can play it to your local preist some time, if he has the time to get his fist out of the altar boys rectal passageways.

Enjoy.

There's so many I couldn't possibly list them all! ;) Here's a few for the moment...

Amazing Grace
Soul of my Saviour
My song is Love unknown
Brother, sister let me serve you
Bind us together, Lord
Let all mortal flesh keep silence
Our God reigns
Come down O Love Divine

Peace,
Rob

I like hymns for their words.....Here are a few that I like......

A Mighty Fortress
From All that Dwell Below the Skies
Rock of Ages
All Glory, Laud and Honor
Lift High the Cross
Crown Him with Many Crowns
All Hail the Power of Jesus Name
O Sacred Head Now Wounded
I Know My Redeemer Lives

I like all of the above.

All hail the power of Jesus name. because, it is praising Jesus.(God)
I know my redeemer lives. because, of HOPE of the ressurection
Rock of Ages.because it sings of our rock who has been here for ever and will be here forever .What comfort.

Lift High the Cross because. tell the world about Jesus but don't forget the ressurection.
all glory laud and honor. because. Another praise hymn.
O secred head now wounded because it shows the Lords sacrafice on the cross.

From all that dwell below the skies.because, we should sing Him praises All The Time.

A mighty fortress is our God written by martin luther. that great emancipator while hiding out he wrote these words.
A mighty fortress is our God ,A trusty shield and weapon, this has everthing to do with eph. 6.

And last but not least is the Amazing Grace written by a black slave. What can come form one's mouth when faced with fear, and then triumph is a wonderful thing to know while singing this hymn.

"O' the Deep, Deep, Love of Jesus", "It is Well", or "He Leadeth Me" i just love the words to all of those. i know you're not supposed to think of yourself when you're worshiping, but i always get that deep emotional feeling from these three songs. they're just so powerful
