Just curious, what are your personal favorite events from the Bible?
My favorite events are when Jesus saves Mary Magdalene from the stone throwers. This is inspiring to show that we are all human and make mistakes and sin, but judging someone else's sin is just as bad. My priest, Abuna Mikhail says "do not judge."
Another favorite event is when the Archangel Michael defeats Lucifer in battle and cast him into hell in the great war of the angels. This reminds us that although Satan can be defeated, he is hard to fight. The devil tried to shake the faith of Jesus, as he still does to people everyday.
Finally, I love the story of Abraham. How he was the first to discover God and his love when he tested Abraham's sacrifice. And how Abraham is the ancestor of all Semitic peoples, his rich knowledge and his travels.
