My hobby is reading ebooks. I also enjoy getting them free from places like the Internet archive & Gutenberg. I prefer to read Christian female authors from the 1800’s. I don’t like anything modern. Can you give me some suggestions on some of your favorites? I have quite an extensive ebook library but I am always on the hunt for new ladies to read.

Here are a few oldies but goodies, I really like the writings of Hannah Whittal Smith, and Charles Spurgeon. and Oswald Chambers. I just finished reading The Unselfishness of God by Hannah Whittal Smith, it tells about her childhood and what they were taught as Quakers, or mostly not taught, it was interesting to read but the best was when she found the Lord as her saviour, such an insight to following Jesus too. LIke the previous poster mentioned Amy Carmichael is good, I like to read missionary biographies. Another missionary is Hudson Taylor. Perhaps you have heard of some of these.
