Is that the three part documentary? I've been wanting to watch that.

Yep. This is part 1. I think the other parts are on youtube too, and it's on netflix instant view. It's really interesting how prohibition was passed by a powerful social progressive lobby, and how most people supported it because they thought it wouldn't apply to them (just the poor blacks and immigrants), or at least not to their beer and wine. And then once it passed many people believed it was a ridiculous and immoral law and didn't follow it, turning many otherwise law abiding people into criminals. A very fascinating period in history.

That's exactly right I'm thankful you mentioned it....I watched it while enjoying a rye. Alberta went dry in the 20's I believe but we soon smarten up.

River Monsters (sawfish episode)

I like that show although it took awhile to grow on me, kind of like Duck Dynasty. I'm currently watching the Canadian Open golf championship, anything to stay away from the news of the day, it's almost never good.

I've only gotten about 20 minutes into it; but so far it is living up to the Title. I can say right now that the Dark and Middle Ages were brutal! My impression is of complete satanic control then, whereas now satan has to be cagier? Or, that we have progressed in a spiritual sense since then. Just an impression.
