I tried watching the old movie "Bridesmaids". Never seen it before, but I know it's supposed to be this comedic chick flick classic. I got about halfway through and gave up. It was nothing but juvenile bathroom humor and jokes that were completely unfunny. Oh, well.

Going In Style is one of the best comedies in recent years. I was surprised when I saw Zach Braff directed this. Then again, it makes sense considering Scrubs was known for it's male friendships. Going In Style doesn't feel like Scrubs but like Scrubs it has a lot of humor and heart. The writing and acting are both really good.

Jesus Revolution – This is about a hippie Jesus & a revival that happens in the middle of the Hippie movement, based on a true story
This is probably the Christian movie I’ve felt the least engaged in. It just felt boring, there really weren’t any stakes or anything. The Hippies just start showing up, the pastor has to deal w/ to accept them or not for a bit, another convert has to wrestle w/ if he wants to date a girl or not (b/c we haven’t seen that in every movie), & that’s about it.
On the positive side, I liked the Hippie Jesus character. I liked the message & themes. I love the sequence where the elders / deacons want to reject the Hippies b/c they stain the carpet w/ their barefeet, & the pastor washes their feet to allow them in. I loved the scenes of actual news footage, especially the ending sequence.
Overall I think this is an interesting topic that could’ve been executed better.
I give his a 3/5
(Kelsey Grammar is in this; I’m not super familiar w/ him, but I didn’t know how serious he was about his faith)

I watched The CW The Flash Season 1
Holy heck, I got this show really expecting not to care for it nor really watch it, but wow, it’s good. I really liked it. I never really cared for The Flash in other things he’s in -> this made me a fan of him. He has a lot more powers than speed! Or the speed allows him to seem like he has more powers! I loved all the main characters & their relationships: Cisco (he’s hilarious!), Caitlin, Iris, his adopted dad, Eddie! Wow!
& the actor who plays Wells / Reverse Flash! Every scene he’s in!!!! You keep wanting to see Barry punch him in the face! Most of the other villians I didn’t really care for, which is about the only negative I can think of, other than a couple, including Captain Cold!
This show reminded me a lot of Spider-Man, actually, so that’s probably why I liked it so much. So I highly recommend The Flash Season 1. If you just have a passing interest in superheroes, you’ll probably love it!
5/5

MLB -> Detroit @ Minnesota -> Minnesota won 2-0

Watched NASCAR, MLB, & the soccer Cup on & off w/ family

Rewatched Finding Nemo. Bleh, seen it 1000 times. Don’t really like it, but some parts are funny. Even tho I've seen it 1000 times, I never realizde how much of the movie is dedicated to Marlin combating his fears & anxities. "If these were my fronds, who needs anenonmes!"
I give this a 3/5.

Rewatched Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2. Yuck, the language is foul but it’s still good. RIP Yondu. :( I give this a 4/5.
