I'm thankful that CF is continuing to touch peoples lives and how it brings people together to build special friendships

I'm thankful that our often depressed minds can still find God's good - even if it is only in someone else's life or in a book like the Bible.

Please fellow fighters, the fight for good in bad is the most rewarding battle anyone can ever be in - and we are on the foreground of it all - take good courage - our Heavenly Father knows our predicaments personally and is willing and able, through Christ Jesus, to provide us with all we need to stand amidst the raging battles for our soul. Suffering - however intense - will pass but the good that one can collect from God during these times are eternal. Are endurance, self-control and patience not handy life skills for example? And that are but three gifts which come down from Him into praying, hurting and searching hearts. Again be off good courage and understand that down here serves as growing grounds for the Lord, we will certainly receive our pound of flesh in the end of the equation. (How His Love can grow within our hearts even as we sit completely forlorn in an armchair, for our weakness is His strength.)

Beautiful Gerry ! I might have to copy this and read it daily. Sometimes it's easier to just 'give in' to the pain.

You are correct...this battle IS worth fighting for!

I thank God for my family, and for leading me to a church I'm feeling really comfortable at.

I am one of those fighters and the Sword of the Spirit has become my weapon of choice. I still battle
my Body Dysmorphic Disorder and, yes, sometimes depression. Even still, I press forward each day
and find light in it because I love the Lord. Lately, I have been creating Christian graphics, and it's
as if I'm driven to it and by it. I don't doubt that the Lord is behind this driving force. He is nudging me along.
I sing praises even when a shadow falls upon me. I know that His light is not far behind to drive the shadows away.
Spirit filled and joy in all circumstances. I am thankful for the Lord and His faithfulness.​
