What are you thankful for??

I'm thankful for the Bible, and knowing verses to apply to situations in my life. I'm thankful for rainy days, Pepsi Jazz, and the story that my scars tell. I'm thankful for soft sheep kisses, for my boyfriend for being patient with me and waiting for me to become someone better than I have been in the past, and for pop-up children's books. I'm thankful for snowflakes and the sound they make as they fall, for laughter with friends, and for the joys of inside jokes. I'm thankful for the smell of soap, the taste of freedom, and the touch of a fleece blanket on my skin.

I'm thankful for snow, for the scent of Sharpies and the sight of black ink on crisp white paper. I'm thankful for journals, for the scent of leather and the feeling of written-on pages, for Jeremy Camp and his worshipful music, for inspired poetry, and for quiet times with God, in the dark of night or the early morning light. I'm thankful for the friends that I have made on here, for how I'm allowing myself to become more open, and for gentle backrubs. I'm thankful for warm clothing, webcams, and maps. And I'm thankful for each and every one of you. s

I'm thankful for letters to write to friends, and for friends to whom I can write letters! I'm thankful for sunsets, like the beautiful one in Soulwings' sig, for cinnamon sticks, for the scent of burning wood or leaves in the air. I'm thankful for the strength in my arms and my ability to do hard outdoor work and also my ability to take joy in that fact. I'm thankful for cats purring and the warmth of wood fires on cold nights. And I'm thankful for people who listen, people who talk, and people with whom I can be myself.

I'm thankful for songs like "Don't be Afraid" by Charlie Peacock (y'all should read the lyrics ). For sweet emails read early in the morning, for decisions made and finalised. For hugs and prayers, for friends made, for smiles from random people, and for brightening other people's days. For knowing that God is there for me no matter what I do or don't do, no matter if I fail or stumble over my words, no matter if people like me or not. For knowing that there will be at least four people in this world that will love me no matter how I screw up my life. For snowflakes, chocolate-covered ice cream cones, and Kleenex boxes with interesting patterns.

I'm still thankful for the song "Don't be Afraid" - "don't be afraid to do what's right / don't be afraid to take a risk" - for people who care for others, for my fading scars. I'm thankful for the joy that knowing our Daddy brings. For soft flannel sheets and randomly colored nail polishes. For piano and the ability to create beautiful music. I'm thankful for the love that I've seen here at CF and in my daily life, for the good example that my parents have set me, for the life I've got ahead of me, that before I doubted existed. I'm thankful for AA batteries, for gentle spring rain, and for multicolored toe socks. And I'm thankful for my years in ballet, for black hair dye, and for atomic clocks that reset themselves.

I am thankful for people who offer a smile or a kind word. Brightens the day.

I'm thankful for contacts that fit right, headsets for doing IM voice chats, silly faces, and foreign food. I'm thankful for bluebirds and titmice, for brightly colored handmade quilts, for big squishy comforters, for the scent of cinnamon and pine trees, for the feeling of cold water against my face in the mornings. I'm thankful for Rachmaninoff and Shostakovich, Chopin and Debussy, Mozart and Cimarosa. I'm thankful for heated debates and cold trucks, pounding bass in music, and rosy sunsets. And I'm thankful for old libraries, the scent of old books, and the sounds of autumn turning into winter.

I'm thankful for threads that people post in (*hint hint*), for Luna bars and softly falling snow, for misty mornings when the trees are vague and ghostly shadows, for the sound of wind whispering through fir trees, for big squishy hugs, for online journals, melted ice cream, and blue butterscotch yoghurt. I'm thankful for dried flowers, for the scent of burning incense, for big comfy armchairs, time to rest and relax, and poems.

I'm thankful for ZonePerfect bars, pumpkin spice muffins, and chai tea. For sonnets that have been written and assignments that have been completed. I'm thankful that I'm learning not to procrastinate, that it's a sunny, beautiful day outside, and that I had good and unexpected conversations with people that I didn't know today. Aand I'm thankful for gentle hugs, warm rain, peace signs, interesting artwork, and inspired poetry.

Thankful for a digital camera and that I have kids to take pictures of.

I'm thankful for my dogs. They make me smile and laugh and inspire me to get outside.

I'm thankful for my big yard so that my dogs can run and play. I'm thankful that it's big enough for me to have some privacy so I can pray out loud and not be overheard. I'm thankful that there is room for planting, and more.

I'm thankful for the internet. There is so much information available. It's like having a library at my fingertips.

I'm thankful that I live in a country where I can worship my God and talk about my God and not have my head cut off for it.
