The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Thankful for my car. When I first got it, I was so excited, I used to ask my sister if she wanted to go sit in my car. She'd say yes, and we would just go sit in it and enjoy it. It has been a very reliable car for me. I am so thankful for it.

I am thankful I am still alive, I thought I probably would not be. I am thankful for a roof over my head and food to eat and a worthwhile job. I am thankful I am not well off financially, that can be such a temptation. A temptation I am better off without. I am thankful for a mind to think and a heart to understand. I am thankful for my suffering, that it teaches me. I am even thankful for the remnant of sin in my life, that it may teach me to be humble and to depend on God and not myself. I am thankful for the people in my life. I am thankful for everything. I am nothing, utter nothing, yet God has given me so much. God is good. Thank you my King. <3

I am very thankful that I am over this whole New Years Eve thing. When I was young, if I wasn't partying on New Years Eve and getting kissed by somebody at midnight, I was not happy with that. Right now, my idea of New Years Eve 2010 is to watch a movie alone and go to bed. I ain't gonna watch no ball drop, and if I am awake at midnight it will be purely by accident. And I am very happy with these plans.
