I've never been much of a chocolate fan, really. It always hurts my teeth. Although on occasion, I enjoy just a bit of dark chocolate, or hot chocolate or something. Or a Snickers bar. I love those, but I can't have them very often.

Happy Thanksgiving. May God bless you and your family during the festivities. Bless you with a taste for sweet potato pie, that is. You must be the weirdest girl I've ever seen. Chocolate?

Sweet potato pie happens to be my favorite.

Thanks for the blessings, but the weirdest girl you've ever seen?!? 1. You've never seen me and 2. My whole family LOVES chocolate. I've just never gotten into the sweet potato pie thing. . .may God bless YOU, my friend, with a taste for chocolate.

As for Cadbury, that is one type of chocolate that I do not generally like. I much prefur Hershey's.

they might be the same thing but different names. . . I like
creme eggs and carmellos. They have one with raisins that's pretty good too.
if it ain't got the right name, i'm afraid it ain't the fair dinkum thing.
caramello koalas are awesome, as are the little easter possums, and any other australian chocolate. freddo frogs are cool too, don't know if you've got them?

you obviously don't have the real cadbury. it's australian, and cadbury chocolate is made down here in my little island state of tasmania. there is nothing nicer than cadbury chocolate, particularly picnic bars (oooohhh, my mouth waters at the word! ) and crunchie bars (delicious honeycomb coated in cadbury milk chocolate, mmmmmm....!)

I googled it - same thing, but they do appear to market different products in different areas. I found my carmellos and your crunchie bar both listed.

It must be getting close to Thanksgiving with all this talk of food. lol

You must be right.

We make jokes at our house because my husband likes to take pictures of food. We have photographs of many of our holiday meals plus some of special meals (i.e. the time we got a whole salmon shipped to us from Seattle).

We were just teasing my folks - they took a 2 week trip to Italy, talked about all the places they went and the food they ate - over 200 pictures and not one picture of food. IMNSHO that's just wrong

With that said - Happy Thanksgiving all. I truly have much to be thankful for.

Sounds like my father's photo album, only his must-have photos are the ones where somebody is standing by the sign of a place. Usually waving.

Yellowstone National Park

Grand Teton National Park

Minneapolis
Population XXXXXX

etc.

I love my dad and am thankful for him and my mom. Bless their faithful hearts!

Just yesterday my husband was offered a new job, after his last one went away the first week in November. We are thankful for this new job, which will allow him to get a much needed different commuting vehicle.

On the topic of thankfulness, I am thankful that God didn't allow me to die when I was dead in my sins. He could have done so with perfect justice. As (I think) Jonathan Edwards once said, every day in which we wake up and are not burning in Hell is a testament to the mercy of God.

I am thankful for the Father's sovereignty in creation and salvation, the Son's sacrificial love unto death, and the Spirit's guidance into all truth.

I am thankful for spiritual food (the Bible), physical food which God graciously provides, and for a roof over my head.

I am thankful to live in a country in which one is not arrested and/or killed for professing Christ and owning a copy of the Bible.

I am thankful for God's leading me, earlier this year, to the most wonderful, Biblically faithful church which I have ever encountered. http://www.capitolhillbaptist.org/

I am thankful that God has graciously allowed me, a terrible, wretched, weak sinner, one more day in which to live, breathe, and attempt to glorify Him!

Lastly, I am thankful that Erin started this thread! After a trying two days in which I have often given in to self-pity, thinking on this topic has reminded me just how much of which I have to be thankful! All glory, honour, and praise to God!

A big Amen to that - something I think we too often take for granted.
