I am currently studying "Christian Wisdom of the Jedi Masters" by Dick Staub. He takes elements of the Star Wars movies and applies them to Christian points. I thought it was a super great read. I keep few books around, that, I think is going to be one of them.

I've skimmed through that at my bookstore. I like what I read of it. There's a quote in there that says something to the effect of "whatever God calls you to do, rest assured that it's something the world needs." I can dig that.

Currently I am doing 2 things very involved with reading.

1) I am re-reading (and reading again and again) the teachings in John and Job to better understand them from my point of view so that I can put it's interpreted meaning into my book. This is after all the interpretation of a 24 year old girl.

2) Writing my book called "Real Angels Can't Sin" its about a lost girl in the city who comes across many dangerous activities and people, when God calls upon her to help him in her quest to find herself and her true place in Christianity. I think it's a good one... what do you think?

Any suggestions for inclusions?

I know this is a little off-topic but
I haven't read a fiction book since
1990 when I was fifteen years old
No I am not kidding at all
All I read is non-fiction, bios, history
But most of all, Christian devotions!

I don't know what kind of response this thread will get or if it will maybe qualify for a "sticky" but I thought it would be good to share what we are reading ?

I am currently reading:

Judgement and Promise: An Interpretation of the book of Jeremiah by J.G. McConville and

Covenant and Sacrifice in the Letter to the Hebrews by John Dunnill.

Hi, I am a chaplain at a hospital and am reading something for work called "In the Presence of Grief" by Dorothy Becvar. It is about the different kinds of bereavement that people experience and what issues they face and how to help them. It has been a wonderful book, but slow going.
