What books/audiobooks/videos have you been indulging in lately?

I purchased an audiobook of The Imitation of Christ by Thomas à Kempis.

My mother sent me The Book of Secrets by Deepak Chopra. (I'm only in the first chapter at the moment)

I think it is interesting how they both emphasize an internal searching for wisdom in the silence of contemplation. That is a theme that is playing out in my journey lately. I've spent a lot of time caught up in externals. I've found it difficult to sit quietly.

Something told me I should practice being still and silent, again. I'm not sure how I arrived at this point of constant distraction, but here I am. Time to turn it around.

What is the theme of your life now?

I am just finishing up reading God and the Gay Christian: The Biblical Case in Support of Same-Sex Relationships by Matthew Vines. It's a very good book, I would recommend it.

I just bought that book, and it's on my next-to-read reading list!

I'm in the middle of re-reading CS Lewis' Till We Have Faces. I read it in high school, but that was a long time ago, and I thought it deserved a second reading.

I might loop that music around while I browse the forum. It adds a nice ambience to the place.
They should incorporate a new feature to add background music!

I'd enjoy that. In my school days I used to find it helpful to have music playing while I did my Math homework. It helped me focus.

If I have to sit down and work on something, I'd have classical music playing in the background.

I had to work last Christmas Eve night and also Christmas Day night, so spent the day asleep in bed with Classic FM on the radio. I could hear the Christmas carols being sung while I was dreaming!
