  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What are you listening to?

@2PhiloVoid Back in the day, I kind of ignored bands like Petra and Stryper, but listening to their interviews, I think they were genuine and sincere, and their music was good.

@2PhiloVoid Back in the day, I kind of ignored bands like Petra and Stryper, but listening to their interviews, I think they were genuine and sincere, and their music was good.

Back in the day, I honestly had to warm up to Petra but they grew on me. Stryper, on the other hand, zapped me the first time I heard them on a local Christian rock radio show because I thought, ".....who's that? They sound sort of like Motley Crue, but different...." And I was a Stryper fan from that point on.

I agree with you, despite whatever personal foibles they've had over the years, I think the guys in both of these bands are sincere in their faith.

Back in the day. Now, I'm just trying to enjoy what little will be left of these guys' creativity with the limited time they (or I) have.
