Interesting trivia about Israel Vibration - All three members were physically disabled due to childhood polio, but their getting together was not a gimmick to "sell" the band. They met and became friends as children in a polio treatment place. Also, one of them got kicked off of a wheelchair basketball team for becoming a Rastafarian.

Good catchy song, but I'm confused by that one line - "Until we find a way to leave the West". Is anybody trying to leave the West? Then later they moved from Jamaica to New York City, so at least they learned about boats and airplanes at some point. A partial happy ending, I guess.

Unless you have just arrived on the planet and are oblivious of how certan folks have been treated.

It is the Almighty that directs the footsteps of man, it is not about learning about boats and airplanes,

as if they did not know. The geographic West does not oppress of it`s self, but the mindset of certain persons.

There is no need to go on about colonization, it is well known.

Much of reggae is about standing up against mistreatment,

It has positive vibes, spiritualenergy.

That is the signals I get from it.

Well, I do not want to get drawn into one of those endless boring discussions.

Here is the deal as far as I can tell, you posted a song which you thought was catchy, but was confused over just one line.

I gave my thought on what it may have meant, more or less general knowledge.

My first encounter with this kind of music and the people was in 1958, as a 16 year old there was much to take in.

So it is not surprising that it brings back happy memories.

I want to keep it that way.
