This is going to be weird, but I have no shame. I have never met you, but your energy reminds me of Mark Farner. I think he's great. I feel like you are the Mark Farner of CF.

That's not weird, man. In a certain way, it definitely takes me back and hits even 'closer to home' than you know. Thanks, PH!

Your life is your life
Don't let it be clubbed into dank submission
Be on the watch there are ways out
There is light somewhere
It may not be much light but
It beats the darkness be on the watch

There are so many good versions of this song (Jimmy Martin's, of course), but my favorite is Junior Brown's. That guitar playing is wild!

Been listening to The Holy Post podcast. Pretty intelligent commentary. Started by one of the guys who created Veggietales too. One of the few Christian programs that was legitimately good.

While not planning to be a Christian again, I don't say this out of offense. I just see no reason to stop being an atheist. Just... It's nice to see some Christian media that counters my own negative experiences with Christianity. I just want to have a proper well balanced perspective of the faith. When you psychoanalyzing your past faith for so long, you can develop some warped perspectives. Despite being on this website.. I am not really part of Christian culture anymore.

I have been reminising about old Aussie songs that I grew up with. Of course theres the classics like Aca Daca, INXS, Men at Work (Land Downunder), and Crowded Hose (which is really a Kiwi band lol).

But I have been listening to a couple of bands which I under appreciated in the Little River band (LRB) and Cold Chisel. I didn't really get into them though I like their sound and harmonies of LRB. I though Jimmy Barns and Cold Chisel were to loud and screaming songs rather than singing

But I have come to appreciate their influence and style. In some ways the LRB was the Aussie version of the Eagles and Cold Chisel like the classic rock blues bands such as Zeplin (though no one is like Led Zeplin) or more like the lesser known nbands such as Deep Purple or Aerosmith.
