  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Just finished 22 lectures on Christian Ethics from Covenant Seminary.

Listened to four lectures on "Islam and the West" made by the Carnegie Council.

Listening to 10 hours of lectures from Stanford U. on Virgil's Aenied.

Also listening to 13 lectures on "Old Testament Overview" from Covenant Seminary.

One other item (strictly for Fun) is a large series lectures on J.R.R. Tolkien by Corey Olsen, the Tolkien Professor.

All downloaded from iTunes U.

I love iTunes U. It's a goldmine.

I've just a 40 lecture series on the writings of J.R.R. Tolkien. The series is a senior level lit class given by prof. Corey Olsen -- it was great fun.

Finished four lectures titled, Cosmos and Creator: God of Cosmos, God of Astronomy - from Seattle Pacific University.

I also finished a series on the New Testament from Covenant Seminary.

They were all downloaded for free from iTunes U.

Yes, there are several on jazz and classical music appreciation I've downloaded from itunesU.
