Here's (in my opinion), some of the best of Sacred Harp, which is pretty much how the Puritans and Pilgrims used to sing Psalms:

Here's an example of one of the tunes above [107 Russia] slowed down and used to sing part of Psalm 119 [I cannot in any way, shape, or form condone the use of musical accompaniment in church, though].

It's quite haunting.
