• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

Well today a bit better, in an hour I start to figure dinner and clean up the rest of the stuff. Last night we had Hamburgers n chips was stuffed after dinner. Roomate cooked those up for us. SO worked 12hrs and again today, and possible tomorrow. But off on Thurs n work I hope decent 8 hrs but we'll see as the next two weeks go before the 4th of July. Right now waiting on wash to finish and then dish washer done so I can unload it. Other than that take it an easy, just not great emotionally but that'll pass I hope in few days, we'll see... Blessings

I'm doing ok, but suddenly, deep inside, I feel somewhat angry with God, but at the same time, I'm afraid to express it (because I'm afraid that if I get mad at him, He'll take my blessings away)

God wont take His blessings away from you, but you can remove yourself from his blessings.

God is love so in anger you wont be able to get into contact with Him very well. In the past I often raged at God but He loves me heaps anyway.

It is best to express to God how you feel about Him or others, God knows what we are thinking and feeling anyhow so it is best to be honest with Him.

Can you get a second opinion, maybe?

Blessings.

Simplistict answers just don't help this situation. Sorry. He has had more than one opinion and am working on getting them to agree to another specialist right now. He is not at home but in rehab so there they tend to take charge of his care. My daughter is also working on this and because she is younger (50) they respond better to her; but she is out of town this week. So been asking praying friends to pray for me for wisdom and opportunities to change things. And basically it can be frustrating and discouraging since because of the brain trauma and now dementia he is mentally confused and unable to speak up for himself as he once did.

Ms. jannikitty: No offence intended. Seems like your real and understandable frustration is also about the complexity of your husband's condition, rather than because you necessarily think the medical people treating him are inadequate.

I hope you as a family will receive the Lord's strength and grace, day by day.

Blessings.

Feeling clueless and frustrated about medical treatment my husband is getting. Almost like I am invisible to them as is he because we are elderly.

Anxious. I am going to the pet shelter tomorrow to look at animals now that I have time, but I'm a little nervous I won't be able to afford it. Like, I wanna adopt a kitten like I've been talking about doing and never got the time but I checked my bank account and it's way under what I thought. I should have gotten paid two days ago but hey, who knows if it's gone through or not. I know that if I do, the most I'll need to do is buy food and litter box and my parents will help with the rest.

Also thinking of changing my availability at work so I can go in earlier and maybe earn a higher pay check and see about not switching places in the store since I'm doing much better with sales. And so I don't have to take the pay cut.
