What are you doing while waiting?

For those of you who aren't getting pregnant right the first month, what are you doing with your life while waiting to get pregnant?

Do you have a job that you love that you don't mind keeping for however long it will take to TTC, be pregnant and give birth? Are you in school? Do you have any other projects?

I'm finding it hard to think ahead to what if TTC takes months or years. I love my job right now, but I don't think I want to keep for more than a year. So my mind is racing thinking of other projects that I could do if TTC takes really long.

Any others like me?

I've just changed jobs and moved house, so i'm settling into the job and decorating. If things don't happen the way i want them too then I just need to go with the flow. (ah - pun - unintended!! )
I'm involved a lot at church - worship team, teaching singing, childrens church, bible study, so i'm normally really busy anyway. I guess I would just continue with what i am doing, until something happens in life that would change that.

I work, I am involved with church and we have a home bible study on Tuesdays. I stay pretty busy. I work for Project Recovery as an outreach person so I am just a temporary employee. My job will end in February as of right now but they are trying to extend it to May. When I am pregnant I will not have to worry about maturnity leave as of right now. I am not sure if I will look for another job yet or not I will cross that bridge when I get to it. lol

I work, and I am possibly starting a new job in December. It is a pretty high level postion with a lot of responsibilty, so I am worried that the stress will get to me. However, I have no choice but to take it since DH is in school still and wants to enter seminary next fall.

My husband and I have made the decision to start trying this coming fall. We are really excited, I am hoping that once I have the baby I will not have to go back to work. Right now I am a teacher and would love to stay home with my child! We are in the process of trying to figure out how things will work out financially

I am excited about the possibility of being pregnant. For a long time I was against having kids until later, but something changed and we decided that we felt it was time.

In the meantime I read EVERYTHING i can get my hands on about pregnancy and TTC. I am making it through work by hoping that I will only have another year and a half of working! I just pray that financially it will work out for me to stay at home.

Anytime I am in the 2WW and feel like I am about to go insane I crochet a baby blanket. When I am not pregnant, I donate the blanket to a shelter for young unwed mothers.

I don't do anything productive during the 2ww... I just eat chocolate and get anxious. I also check up on ebay and check out some of the maternity lots they have. I "watch" certain items so that when I get a BFP I can bid on them.

Sure thing... I usually check out the items in lots. You can get tons of new or like new items for a pretty decent price. It's hard to figure out sizing though... Some different companies have different guidelines for their sizing.

I echo the "trying not to go insane" sentiments. This year is a year of patience for me and I am trying to let God teach me that while occasionally throwing temper tantrums. I had simplified my life thinking that I would get pregnant fairly soon and now I am struggling not to feel like I am too unproductive or "wasting" my time but trying to make the most of the waiting.
